Greek village style. The service was very quick & courteous. Professional. I had the gyro pita plate with some taramosalata. Very reasonably priced. Also lots of parking. Will definitely go back.
My all time favourite go-to Greek restaurant! Gyro is always fresh & moist, decent portion sizes. Prices have gone up quite a bit from when I first started going, but still can't beat the taste. Always back to satisfy my cravings!
For the quantity & the price, it's a perfect spot to bring friends & family! Thank you again for my birthday :)
My favorite greek souvlaki spot for over 10 years! They keep it authentic with tasty meat & sides! Price is fair for the quality offered!
Delicious food served in an amazing & welcoming atmosphere, ideal for families or friends!!! The portions were huge & the beer was served in a chilled glass! Prices were very reasonable. You must have the calamari!!!
I frequent this Greek restaurant often, & it never disappoints. Frank & the team always provide top-notch service, & their friendliness makes each visit enjoyable. The food is consistently tasty, the portions are generous, & the prices are very reasonable. It's my go-to spot for a reliable & satisfying meal.
OK - this is now the reigning king in Laval - inside & take out . Its 5 stars - once a week - less if they are out - they are out less often & we get really honest telephone advice when we ask for our favorite dishes. I still have not asked for my volume discount. -------------------- Once again Le Vieux Grec ran out of doner - we were really in the mood for a doner pita platter. We looked over the recent reviews of Le Village Grec & it seems like the tides were turning & so we decided to give Village Grec another chance. Things are looking up - not exactly like it once was - but its a very big improvement. You need to tweek the rice flavouring & fry those huge fries just a little longer til the edges get crispy otherwise they steam up & get soggy during takeout. The sandwiches where the biggest improvement. Keep it up guys - nice come back. We will be returning ------------------------------ A year before: I only went back because Le Vieux Grec ran out of doner. I had not been at Village Grec since Covid started - boy was I let down. I wont get specific but Great things do not last forever. If you want what you had, go to Le Vieux Grec on Souvenir. They were trained by the son of the own of the Village Grec - its great. People buy a thriving business - I see it all the time. They dont have to do anything but repeat what was happening before they bought it. The price they paid for the restaurant is relative to the amount of business it was generating. Now its no where close & diminishing once they get through all the old regulars - it will be ready to shut down. Unless - they smarten up & stop thinking that their way is better- trust me its not. I wont go back till I see many great reviews not from people that are associated with the restaurant trying to cancel out the recent wave of bad reviews. Restaurants are mainly run by hard working uneducated people- not stupid people but mostly people who do not have university degrees - but the good ones have street smarts. The new owners seem to have neither. So take my advice - go back & copy exactly what the old owners used to do - do not cut corners & you will save your business. You need to work hard to turn around customer sentiment. Understand why you have bad reviews. Read & do not ignore the reviews, use them to make you better. Or just call up one of the old owners & have them help & show you how. Play smart & make money.
First & foremost, Food was remarkable! The portions of the plate is very good, enough for two people even. The lamb & porc is a best seller for them & rightfully so! The service is very good. Waiters & waitresses check on you several times as you eat. Prices are fair considering the portions are enough for two.
Delicious food, generous portions, & all at a great price. What more could you ask for?
There is nothing in this restaurant that isn't great. from the food, to the service, to the ambience. A+ The food was delicious with big servings. & the price was right too. Il n'y a rien dans ce restaurant qui n'est pas génial. de la nourriture, au service, à l'ambiance. A+ La nourriture était délicieuse avec de grosses portions. & le prix était correct aussi.
Neighborhood restaurant. Always fresh veggies, first class souvlaki. My family loves the place. Prices are very reasonable.
We were regulars at this restaurant for years, but after it changed ownership, it fell off our radar. However, after recently giving it another try on two separate occasions with different friends, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. While the prices have gone up, as is the case with most restaurants, we found the food to be worth the slightly higher cost. The pikilia appetizer was a standout, with a delicious variety of dips & spreads accompanied by warm bread. The calamari with Greek potatoes was also a hit with our group, perfectly cooked & full of flavor. Overall, we were impressed with the new & improved menu & are happy to have rediscovered this gem of a restaurant. We will definitely be returning in the future to try more of their offerings.
Food was ok except they changed their menu price for Father's Day. Even though their menu states that only statutory holidays will be excluded for the special menu, the restaurant insisted that we cannot order specials on Father's Day. We ended up paid twice than we were supposed to.
Beautiful place, fast food prep & very tasty. Portions are very big for the price, one meal was enough for two of us & had some left overs! Loved it will definetly come back.
This has been a place I have been going to for some time & once again had a lovely meal. Atmosphere is typical Greek family style & cosy. This is not a high end restaurant intentionally, it's a cosy family place that's clean & offers great personable service with delicious authentic Greek dishes at reasonable prices with good portions. I have had all their gyros & souvlaki's (chicken, lamb, & porc) & all were great. Tzatziki is delicious without being too garlicky. I have not had their other dishes but from what I have seen, smelled, & spoken to other patrons the all have stated they loved their food - proof was all the empty plates. Summer means their patio is open & we went with our little dog & sat on the patio & the brought a nice fresh cold water with ice in a large aluminum take out tray & he was relaxed while we ate. So for all the dog lovers with well behaved & trained dogs that are not too large, call before hand & confirm if they can accommodate your dog too.
Food & service were excellent, prices reasonable & nice ambiance. The outside is deceiving, nothing to look at, but once ur in it's cute.
clean, great decor, portions are fair for the price, quick service. I will go again
Definitely my go-to place for gyros & fried calamari. Their price is super reasonable, & my kids love their food too! Highly recommend.
