Had the best lamb that I've ever eaten in my 45 years on this earth. It was so delicious that it will be a part of my future trips to Montreal for as long as I live. The potatoes, rice & salad were all top shelf as well.
Not to leave out our server was such a gem.
The portions were huge as well. If you're in the area & haven't stopped in you need to.
Went to Village Grec during the weekend. Haven't had a Pita Doner for ages as I used to go to the one on Jean-Talon in Parc-Extension. It was during the afternoon on a Sunday, quiet place where you can eat in peace without too much noisy crowd. Good service by the ladies of the house. Faire enough price as they have a lunch menu that spans between 11h & 15h everyday, even during the weekend. I had the Pita Doner plate, with greek potatoes, rice & greek salad, it was as great as i remebered it. 👍 next time i'll take their fried calamaris, I recall they were awesome.
cuisine 3/5 service 1/5 ambiance 1/5
Excellente nourriture, excellent service avec Diana, assiette de pita au poulet, riz excellent, salade grecque, patates grecques typiques & succulentes, calmars frits, à recommander fortement!!!
The place has not been renovated in maybe 30 years & the parthenon like painting in the main dining area actually looks like it may be the original. All this to say that you dont come here for the atmosphere, to see or to be seen. You come here for Greek fast food prepared as if your value conscious mother ran that restaurant kitchen. Here is a little secret. They buy air chilled chicken (as opposed to water cooled) so that when they marinate it to make the chicken sticks or brochettes the air chilled chicken can better absorb the marination. You taste it in every bite. It is probably the best tasting chicken stick in town. Combine that with their oven roasted potatoes with green salad & rice & you now understand why the greek gods ain't leaving. One other important mention is value. I took my wife out with my sister & my two nieces & we all ate more than what we can handle & the bill came to $160 taxes & tip included (no alcohol or soft drinks & no dessert). In today's hyper inflation environment that is a deal. Enjoy.
I have tried the Loukanikio & Biftekakia platters, both were very delicious & the portions were more than generous.
Tzatziki is rich & thick with no shortage of garlic. Greek salad had fresh, crisp tomatoes & cucumbers, piquant onion & high quality feta & olives.
Service has been very friendly & welcoming on both occasions. Interior has a cozy Mediterranean decor. There is full bar service with decent selection.
I'm no connoisseur of Greece, but this was the best Greek food I've ever had!
We each had the combo platter & they're huge. Two choices of meat, in pita or on rice, with Greek potatoes & salad. The meats are perfectly seasoned, juicy & tender. After sharing the mixed appetizer platter, it was way too much! You get a lot of value at this place!
The service was quick, attentive & friendly. It's a great family restaurant.
I had an amazing experience at Restaurant Souvlaki Grec, especially with their Greek Platter. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, from the juicy grilled meats to the crisp salad & flavorful tzatziki. Every bite tasted authentic & well-seasoned.
What truly stood out was their willingness to customize the plate. Whether you prefer extra meat, more salad, or a specific side, they accommodate requests with a smile. The portions were generous, & the balance of flavors made for a satisfying meal.
With great food, fresh ingredients, & excellent service, this is the perfect spot for Greek cuisine lovers. Highly recommended!
I ordered Chicken Souvlaki which came with rice, potatoes (can be fries or Greek potato), & salad (Greek or lettuce). The portions are big but very tasty. We ordered Baklava & it was absolutely delicious, I wished they had black tea, it would go so well with Baklava. The only issue was that the place wasn't very clean, lots of food & dirt on the carpet!
