I had high expectations for this Peruvian restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience was not what I expected.

The ceviche was very disappointing. It tasted like it was mostly lemon, which completely overpowered the other flavors. It also had almost no spice or heat & lacked the freshness & balance I would expect from a good ceviche.

The papa a la huancaína was also disappointing. The sauce was way too watery & had very little flavor. It also wasn't spicy at all.

On the other hand, the beef tallarín saltado was actually very good. The beef was flavorful & the dish was well seasoned.

Overall, there were a few positives, but the traditional Peruvian dishes we tried need significant improvement, especially in terms of seasoning, texture, & balance of flavors.

Le Pérou au Québec, quelle chance!

Ça m'a pris une éternité à choisir tellement tout avait l'air bon...

Nous avons finalement partagé un ceviche - délicieux & fidèle à mes souvenirs du Pérou - & un lomo saltado - correct & généreux. Nous aurions dû spécifier que l'on prendrait ces plats un à la fois plutôt qu'en même temps, mais ça ne nous a pas empêchées de profiter des saveurs.

La chicha morada (boisson sans alcool à base de maïs mauve & épices) maison est très réussie.

La serveuse était super aimable & attentionnée. Elle nous a même donné un alfajor (biscuit fourré au d'ulcères de leche) pour la route...

La seule chose qui m'a étonnée : la présence de mets mexicains au menu. Sans doute une façon de satisfaire une clientèle qui connaît plus le Mexique que le Pérou. Pourtant, la cuisine péruvienne mérite d'être connue!

Une des rares places de Montréal ou on savoure la cuisine péruvienne. Les assiettes sont copieuses. Les amateurs de maïs ne doivent pas manquer le CHOCLO CON QUESO. Les ceviches sont aussi très bons.
Le pisco sour en apéro est sublime !
La terrasse est très agréable en été lorsque la rue Wellington devient piétonne.
Station vélo bixi juste en face.

Un classique de la Well! Ils ont ouvert la terrasse juste pour nous & y'a rien de tel que de boire un pisco & manger un ceviche au soleil. Leur cuisine est incroyable, qualité prix imbattable & le service chaleureux :) 10/10

Restaurant péruvien, les plats sont excellents. Bon service, tous les plats sont bons. Je recommande l'entrée pulpo al olivo & l'assiette principale ceviche mixto. La bière est servie bien froide. Belle découverte, je retourne à ce restaurant très bientôt!

First time trying Peruvian food & was positively happy. Service was great & they took the time to suggest us different dishes. The Ceviche are excellent!

I went with my family last week, we ordered the one with anticuchos, causa, ceviche (i think it was la ronda marina) i had high expectations but the food was tasteless & horrible
I had the worst causa that I've ever eaten. It didn't taste the aji amarillo & I think they use yellow colorante idk.
The ceviche was horrible, think I can prepare it better lol. No spicy & it tasted just lemon & ginger.
The anticuchos, lack of spices, horrible, the marinade was tasteless.
Tbh, idk why people still reviewing with 5 or 4 starts, i want to believe that they are from here that never had real peruvian food & I understand that many of the costumers are from Quebec & they are not usually eat spicy food but the restaurant should keep the original recipe.

The portion size for most dishes at our table was great. I ordered ceviche unfortunately though & was told it would be 220 grams, I love ceviche & have eaten it a lot & they served me 100 grams max for $28 which I thought was unreasonable.
