Review Summary

Villa Wellington is widely regarded as a standout destination for authentic Peruvian cuisine in Verdun, offering generous portions and a warm, unpretentious atmosphere that many diners compare favorably to their experiences in Peru. Frequent visitors praise the flavorful lomo saltado, fresh ceviche, and unique specialties like anticuchos, often highlighting the value for the price and the lively vibe of the outdoor terrace during summer months. While the majority of guests report exceptional service and friendly staff who are eager to provide recommendations, some reviewers have noted occasional inconsistencies in service speed or attentiveness during busy periods. Overall, the establishment remains a beloved local classic, with many patrons appreciating the traditional flavors, the cozy setting, and the consistent quality that keeps them coming back for more.

First time trying Peruvian food & was positively happy. Service was great & they took the time to suggest us different dishes. The Ceviche are excellent!

This family owned Peruvian restaurant offers the flavors from Peru, & caters to Canadian tastes. We frequently go there when we are in Verdim. We have tried half the menu items & all were delicious.

I went with my family last week, we ordered the one with anticuchos, causa, ceviche (i think it was la ronda marina) i had high expectations but the food was tasteless & horrible
I had the worst causa that I've ever eaten. It didn't taste the aji amarillo & I think they use yellow colorante idk.
The ceviche was horrible, think I can prepare it better lol. No spicy & it tasted just lemon & ginger.
The anticuchos, lack of spices, horrible, the marinade was tasteless.
Tbh, idk why people still reviewing with 5 or 4 starts, i want to believe that they are from here that never had real peruvian food & I understand that many of the costumers are from Quebec & they are not usually eat spicy food but the restaurant should keep the original recipe.

I've had my fair share of letdowns when it comes to Peruvian food in Montreal, especially those places on Saint-Hubert Av. But Villa Wellington in Verdun is one exception you won't want to miss.

Let's cut to the chase: Lomo Saltado here is pretty darn decent. The beef is flavorful & comes with a generous portion of crispy fries & rice-just like back home.

The Seco con Frejoles & Choritos a la Chalaca are also solid choices, each with a comforting, home-style vibe that's hard to find in this city.

Prices? Totally fair, especially considering the generous portions. You'll leave full & happy without feeling like you've overpaid.

The vibe is cozy & unpretentious-definitely a family-run spot that feels authentic. Service is friendly, even when the place gets busy (& it does-so book ahead!).

I'll definitely be back for another round of Lomo Saltado-& maybe next time, I'll finally try the Piqueo Wellington sampler!

Not perfect, but for Montreal, this is as close as it gets for Peruvian comfort food. It's worth it!

We genuinely look forward to returning in the future & enjoying another wonderful meal. Without a doubt, we highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic & satisfying Peruvian cuisine!

The food here was absolutely great! We had the piqueo wellington, & it was the perfect way to sample a little bit of some important dishes from the menu!! highly recommended if it's your first time. Their ceviche was amazing, super fresh & full of flavor! For dessert, we had the suspiro limeno, which was such a treat. It's the first time I've seen a Peruvian restaurant actually offer it, & they had it available. Loved the whole experience!

Excellent bona fide Peruvian restaurant in the heart of Verdun, on the beautiful Wellington Street. The decor is exquisite, & the food is scrumptious, maybe on the verge of ambrosial Staff are extremely kind & the prices are good. Definitely a must go!
