Went to Montreal to celebrate our wedding anniversary & stopped at Vieux Port Steakhouse outside garden terrace just to have a drink. One night turned into 3 different visits. Elies & Kassi provided exceptional service & engagement. Would definitely recommend stopping in to enjoy their amazing service. I guarantee you will want to return.Voir plus

Visited the steakhouse with a large group of friends for a stag party & I must say it was one of the best places we stopped at. Service was amazing, the decoration was beautiful & just overall great atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone visiting Montreal. Shoutout to ArthuVoir plus

I went there with my family last week Very expensive for what you get i had a 16 oz rib steak wich was $69 & it was honestly the IGA quality & cut with some band vegies My wife had a salmon griled with rice also bland My son took kids chicke strips was good My daughter had kids macaroni & chees very spicy & full of garlic for a kid Over all you pay vargas & cue de cheval prices & you get like la bell province quality I will never go back & tell every one to be aware very expensive for what you get also we had calamari to start wich smeled bad The only good thing was our server alan wich was super nice guy & offered us on the house dessert because he knew the food didn't worth the price & quality was cheap please be honest with rewies & tell the truth ThanksVoir plus

Daughter's 18th birthday. All of us are big foodies. So first thought when main course was served was "Whats the deal with the stingy portions of veggies - 2 or 3 small broccoli florets, a sliced baby carrot" . Oh its the Inflation right ? Flavors are great though. Steak itself was amazing. All of us thought the shrimp cocktail was overpriced for 4 shrimps. Sangria was watery. The specific waiter was courteous but not exactly warm. Personal touch was lacking. Missed an order but was quick to get it. Placed the wrong steak, but we swapped it after he left. It wont be fair if I assumed all waiters are like that. Folks in the neighboring table were very very loud. Thats a very minor point since its very tricky to tell guests to not have a good time. In the end, paid 330+ with tax n tips for 4. Conclusion - Have had way way better overall experiences at the Keg for that price point many times. I always ask myself after a restaurant experience if I will return. Bon rapport qualité prix le midi. Le menu spécial pour le midi est apprécié. La terrasse extérieure est très agréable l'été. Le service est sympathique. L'assiette de steak frites est correct. J'ai mis trois étoiles pour les pratiques du restaurant qui sont moyennes. Il faut demander le menu du midi quand on arrive car il ne le donne pas directement mais surtout attention quand vous commandez un verre de vin. De base, il vous donne le vert le plus cher. On nous a demandé 23$ pour un verre de rosé. C'est abusé comme pratique. Après avoir discuté avec le serveur, la facture a été corrigée. Bref, c'est bon mais attention lors de la commande.Voir plus

This place is touted as one of the better Steakhouses in Montreal. We were very disappointed in our entire experience, starting from the host, the waiters & even the quality of the food. We went there to celebrate my daughter's birthday. When we got there, I told the host that we were celebrating her birthday & that I would like if they could bring the dessert (that I was planning to order) with a little candle. He said that he would mention to the waiter (which he clearly didnt). After we were seated, outside, on a 2-person table, no one showed up to take our order. Soon after, 2 young girls walked in & were seated right next to us. Not sure who they were, but every single waiter came by their table, sometimes 2 waiters at a time, & kept talking to those girls, quite loudly. Needless to say, all the waiting staff were preoccupied with these two girls (perhaps they were the daughters of the owner who knows). Our service was pathetic, & we had to suffer this crowd of waiters coming to talk to the girls sitting next to our table, which made our dinner experience quite miserable. The steak we ordered was'meh' !! We have had much better in Montreal, in couple of other restaurants. The vegetables were boiled!! Yuck. Nothing to give a good review. When we ordered the dessert, the host (who by the way did stop by to talk to those girls) completely forgot to bring out a candle. By this time, we were disgusted with the whole experience. To top it all, the waiter, who was rather pushy & cocky, promptly shows me how to put in the 15% tip (I was looking for the custom tip button, to not tip at that level), but he punched in the 15% number for me, & it went through. I was mad at myself for not standing up to him & going back on the handheld billing machine to fix the tip. But oh well, if you are celebrating or wanting a nice dinner, do not go here. There are better places around, for your money's worth & with better service & ambience. For the owner- Please dont tell us to visit again to give you the chance to make it right. We are visiting Montreal & will never visit your restaurant again. If anything, you may want to refund me my service tip amount, which was not deserved to be given.Voir plus

We searched for a bar to have lunch & watch the F1 race on Sunday afternoon. After going into many places along Port Montreal area, we found this spot. The center bar had a TV & were happy to accommodate our impromptu watch party. Good drinks & brunch options, my beef eggs Benedict was on point. Wait staff was quick & a good selection of cocktails to keep us hydrated. Had to also get something lobster related after seeing the live tanks in front & chose the lobster bisque. In a city where it's difficult to find dog friendly restaurants, even with outdoor tables in summer, the Vieux-Port Steakhouse is the perfect solution. With a lovely garden patio, excellent food, & great service by Jo, our waiter, we finally found a great place to go out while on vacation with our sweet pup. Would not recommend. The steak wasn't very good. The room was extremely hot & we were sweating profusely. Our server did the best that he could with the situation, but he was sweating, too! We opened a window & it barely helped. Don't sit upstairs in a heat wave. & go somewhere else for a good steak.Voir plus
We went to dinner Sunday night, 9 June. It was GP weekend in Montreal so every place was very busy. We originally had a bad table & asked for one by the window & were told no. But when we ordered a $300 bottle of wine, we were immediately told we could have the table we asked for. The server was in a rush to uncork our wine. He was going so fast that he snapped off the cork halfway leaving cork debris all around the top & neck of the bottle. I was worried about cork particles in the wine so he decanted it (in a rush). Not impressed. We ordered surf & turf x 2. Steaks were way undercooked. Lobster was very good however. But we did not get lobster cracking tools until we were nearly done with our meal. I would not go back on a race weekend. They were way too busy & I should have expected the level of service we experienced. Perhaps we could return on a not so busy evening. Up in the air.Voir plus
