The Vieux Port area is the only place I enjoy in Montreal. Sitting at the Vieux Port Steakhouse, enjoying a delicious supper while watching the view outside, truly evokes a Parisian atmosphere.

The food tasted really good, the meat was of good quality & the sauce that accompanied was delicious. We had Elias as our waiter & he was fantastic. I recommend to anyone who likes a good steakhouse.

Expérience très décevante pour le prix de l'expérience. L'établissement ne rend pas honneur à la gentillesse & au savoir vivre des québécois. Le serveur n'a pas cessé de nous pousser à la consommation : - Eau plate ou gazeuse (pas de possibilité de carafe) - Incitation à prendre des amuse-bouches après avoir passé commande - Proposition d'ajouter de la viande sur un plat végétarien (en plus d'être risible, c'est une fois encore un supplément déguisé) - Demande si on ne préfère pas prendre la bouteille de vin plus chère que celle choisie - Proposition de sauces pour accompagner la viande sans préciser que celle-ci est payante (4 CAD pour une petite sauce d'accompagnement c'est aberrant surtout pour un steakhouse...) On a vraiment le sentiment de n'être qu'un portefeuille! Petit bonus pour le coca arrivé 2 fois sans bulles (bouteille ou canette sûrement ouverte depuis longtemps) La cuisine était vraiment décevante, les plats froids avec une salade en accompagnement baignant dans l'huile. Cerise sur le gâteau, au moment de payer, le serveur choisit lui-même le montant du tips sur le terminal de paiement... C'est la première fois que je vois un serveur cliquer lui-même sur le montant du tips. Bref, ce restaurant ne mérite absolument pas la note qu'il a, à fuir pour ceux qui ne veulent pas être pris pour des pigeons.

I went for a solo dinner (which I hate doing) & the service was impeccable. Initially when I asked for a table for one I felt like I was an inconvenience. I like to read my book & take my time when I'm alone; I don't like being rushed. My server was Fadi & he could have not have been more respectful if he tried. From timing the various courses (at my snail pace) to a complimentary dessert & just the right amount of conversation I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I don't order steak at restaurants anymore so I won't speak to the "steakhouse" name. I selected this restaurant because I was looking for some comfort food & when I saw truffle Mac & cheese on the menu I decided to give it a go. It was the best Mac & cheese I have ever had. Ever. It sounds silly. But it was. The wine menu was quite overpriced, as it is with most restaurants in this area, so I don't discount the restaurant on that account. I don't leave reviews often but after trying 5-6 different places in the old port this was my favourite so far. So it warranted at least this. In my experience, it's worth a try. Thank you Fabi & Simon for a wonderful experience

Thank you Vieux-Port Steakhouse staff & especially Elias & our hostess that took our reservation at such short notice (whom I unfortunately cannot remember the name of). We came to celebrate our first wedding anniversary & Elias helped me secure a good table by the fireplace beforehand as well as some choice champagne & wine to go with the dinner, as well as helped make the dessert special too! I had the surf & turf half lobster & steak & she had the striploin. The food was amazing & so was the atmosphere. We were only visiting Montreal but this has definitely been added to our list of reasons to return!

Was visiting Montreal for a work conference & decided to try a steakhouse on Valentine's Day with my wife who travelled with me. Service was good. Ordered the prix-fixe Valentine's Day special: 6 oz Filet, mashed potatoes & veggies with Caesar salad to start. Portions were small; one undercooked brocolli floret, half of a carrot (yes, half) & a dollop of potatoes. My steak was BADLY overcooked (I wanted medium-rare & I got well done). When I told the server at the end of the meal, she said she came by earlier to check if everything was OK but it was BEFORE I started eating the steak. She asked if I wanted a new one & I declined because we were pretty much done our meal. The true kicker was the $30 glass of wine I ordered. Whaaat I asked for a glass of "house" cabernet sauvignion & they brought me a $30 glass of wine & didn't bother to tell me... No comps or credits on the bill either. Disappointing overall.

Une première fois au Vieux Port Steakhouse & nous avons adoré. Le service d'Amanda & Kassi excellent & l'ambiance agréable. La quantité & la qualité de la nourriture servie étaient excellentes.

We checked on TripAdvisor the best steakhouse in town & this was their number 1 choice. Overall, it was a positive experience, however it was NOT the tastiest steak I've had & it was definitely overpriced. It was a bit too crowded - we had to wait for the table availability, so this means the place is quite popular. I doubt Im coming back there.

I always liked this place because the service is fast & they almost always have a table available. The Atmosphere is great, it feels like a steakhouse but the advantage of having a lot of tables makes it a bit less fancy on the atmosphere side. The service is always great, polite & well trained. The food is good as always, but the portions are much smaller than pre covid & the prices are much higher. I still like the place, but I won't be going as often as I used to.

Lovely steakhouse in the historic Old Port of Montreal. The atmosphere is cozy & romantic blending old world bricks, a fireplace, & tastful decor. We ordered from the December special & the value was fantastic. Appetizer, filling main & a dessert. It cost about $200 with all our food & a few drinks each but could easily have cost more.

We sat in the terasse & it was nicely heated (in September). Situated in the most touristic area of Montreal, even though the food is decent, it is still a little overpriced for quality. You can find better Steakhouses for sure.

Stay clear from the French onion soup, it's the worst I've ever had.
The lobster bisque was good.
Steaks are fine, but nothing outstanding, more seasoning is needed.
They did cook them properly (one rare one blue).
The service wasn't attentive, nobody really cared if we were having a good meal or needed another drink.
Surely not the best steakhouse in town, but will do in a pinch.

Nous voulions essayer le restaurant Moldavie mais nous n'avions pas de réservations alors nous avons soupé au Vieux-Port Steakhouse. Les huîtres étaient excellentes (en spécial le jeudi je crois) mais j'ai regretté de ne pas avoir pris de steak. J'ai essayé le "red snapper" & quoiqu'il était bien apprêté, goûtait un peu trop le poisson à mon goût. Le serveur était très gentil & intéressant, en plus d'avoir de très bons conseils à nous professer. Je retournerais à ce restaurant mais pour prendre un surf & turf ou autre plat avec du boeuf (ou du bison).
