Agréable jeudi soir au Vertigo.
J'ai pris les calmars frits en entrée, le risotto aux champignons comme plat principal & le croissant à l'érable pour dessert. Tout était délicieux!
Mention spécial au nouveau gâteau aux carottes maison sur leur menu. La portion est immense & c'est sans doute LE meilleur gâteau aux carottes que j'ai mangé!
Le DJ est excellent!
J'y retournerai assurément.
The waitress was not checking on us. We were waiting a long time to get drinks, food & dessert. We came in at 7;30 & we only got served for drinks almost 45mins later. Also the same for the food. If we had some spot checks would have been preferable.
I was with a friend a we loved the food but the service was really slow
It took around 15minutes until we knew who was our waitress & once she took our orders, the appetizers took around 30minutes & then the main dish came 45mins later & they even forgot to get us one of the dish that we ordered. Since we already waited that much time we decided to simply cancel that item because the waitress told us that they didn't even start cooking it.
We hoped that the dessert would come faster as we know they don't cook it on spot but even for that we had to wait another 30mins until they bring us the dessert....
Although we loved the food we did not have a good time due to the service.
Très bon resto, j'avais envie de tout essayer sur le menu! J'ai finalement pris la burrata en entrée & les raviolis comme plat. Les portions sont bonnes & le goût était là aussi. Mon mari a pris le steak & était très satisfait aussi. Les frites sont bonnes également. La serveuse était très gentille. On a pris le gateau aux carottes comme dessert & c'était succulent! J'y retournerai c'est sûr!
Went for dinner on new years. Surpringly th resto was not overly busy so thought the service would be quick. Espresso martini & amaretto sour are both excellent. Ordered the salmon tartare duo which was equally great, however 3 paper thin slices of toasted baguette was no where nearly enough for the meal. My companion & I asked for some extra slices which took about 25 mins to arrive. Warm & friendly interior with music at just the right volume so you can carry on a conversation. Sad to say the lava cake dessert was below standards, it was dry & way to sweet.
Belle ambiance & bonne nourriture! J'ai pris le plat de saumon & le dessert chocolat ! Excellent !
New place opened in Centropolis, fresh look to the interior with great vibes. Service was nice, the food was just about decent (especially for the prices you pay). Must say, however, that the rice that comes with the main dishes was very well seasoned. In the desserts, I would recommend the carrot cake over the creme catalane.
Had dinner here last night with some friends. The service was good, no complaints. Calamari too salty. Nachos very good. Crispy chicken bao buns excellent. For dessert I had carrot cake cheesecake, the taste was fantastic however it was very cold so not as enjoyable to eat. I will definitely go back!
We had dinner at Vertigo Laval last night & we were pleasantly surprised. To start off the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated & feels welcoming with its warm design & atmosphere. We got seated on a long table with very comfortable chairs. Our waiter Thomas heard us speaking in English when we walked in & made it a point to serve us in our preferred language although he was clearly French-speaking. I loved that effort he put to make us feel welcomed, since it's not something I experience often in restaurants around Laval/Mtl. The menu is very versatile, not overwhelming & very well priced. We were very impressed by the quantity & quality of the food. We started with oysters, a beet salad & the toast with wild mushrooms (wow). As our mains we ordered salmon, the risotto & a burger. We each wanted to try different styles of food & we were all very happy with our food. We even tried some dessert which was delicious!! If you like carrot cake you must try their carrot cheese cake. Overall, we left very satisfied & can't wait to go back! I hope they keep up with their quality.
