Awesome jazz spot with a great vibe & incredible food. Recommend the Paloma & Billie's Holliday for drinks.

Really cool local spot, highly recommend. It was packed & a reservation is an absolute MUST but the jazz music was incredible. I love the swanky atmosphere in the bar area too, I recommend reserving bar seats or seats up front for the best experience of the music. We didn't eat but the food looked & smelled delicious. Our drinks tasted amazing!

We loved EVERYTHING about this Jazz Bar! The ambiance, the mature crowd, the music was Afro Cuban Soul Jazz & it was amazing! The food & drinks were also top tier! We loved it! We're US Visitors from Atlanta, Ga. & highly recommend this bar! Thank you!

We came here for a night out while in Montreal & had a fantastic time! The performances were world class, the staff was very helpful & accommodating, & the other Parton's were very fun & easy to talk to. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good easy night out in Montreal!

We were in Montreal for four nights & had planned to hear some music & eat some good food in the dead of winter. I found Upstairs Jazz online & it looked amazing. We booked for dinner & the early show, & it could not have been a more wonderful evening! We sat at the end of the bar closest to the stage for a 6:15 dinner reservation & the 7:00 pm show. Ate our dinner & then turned our chairs around to have the best seats in the place for what was a truly incredible 75 minute set of wonderful jazz. I would recommend Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill to anyone wishing for an authentic music experience in a small venue like it used to be.

I have travelled to multiple jazz clubs globally over the past few years, & nothing has come close to Upstairs Jazz Club. I visited with my friends & we all had an exceptional experience. Our server was charismatic, well informed, polite, & the food was unbelievable. The show was very entertaining; as me & my friends were blown away. The atmosphere was fantastic & everyone was having a great time, along with the amazing smells & lighting. Overall, I would highly recommend the Upstairs Jazz Club to everyone looking for a great night out!

Had a BLAST here over the weekend & seeing a trio play the 7 pm show. We booked a reservation for dinner at 5:45 & got to see the group setting up. We enjoyed some great jazz playlists while eating. We had the aubergine Parmesan & mushroom linguine & they were both great. The cocktails were fabulous & I loved reading the menu through old jazz albums. The team is TRULY remarkable, winding in between tables through the show, making sure guests are taken care of & having to let walk-ins now that it was fully packed. I recommend making a reservation; we saw about 20 people turned away because it was so busy. Shoutout to Bailey, who was an awesome & attentive server. This place blew me away & the only issue was that the show didn't last longer! Thank you!

First time here - had the opportunity to listen to a great jazz set. Service was amazing - she was always right there when I was thinking about ordering another round of drinks. I highly recommend this super cozy basement establishment - great acoustics too.

We found Upstairs while searching for live Jazz in Montréal. It was a spontaneous drop in & we found seats at the bar but recommend reservations especially if a well known group is performing. This is a venue for the Montréal Jazz Festival held annually late June/early July. We shared a salad & a bottle of red wine both of which were fine. Can't comment on the mains, but I'd definitely return to try a dinner & a jazz night. The cover was very reasonable at around twelve dollars per person.

Omg! Upstairs Jazz Bar & Grill is one of its kind that I've been to in recent times. If you stood outside you wouldn't know how sweet the activities going on inside & you wouldn't know the excellent service they offer. I was there two nights consecutively because we enjoyed our first night show which was free but we went the next evening so we could pay & enjoy some meals & we enjoyed ourselves. The attendants are very courteous & friendly. I recommend

What a wonderful spot. As an Australian I appreciated a place called " Upstairs " where the sign was upside down & the bar is downstairs . I felt like Anelie Poulon herself when I cracked the creme brulee with my spoon . It was light sweet & divinely sensual as I savoured every spoonful. The place was packed with people living the music & the band was on fire ! Staff also were great even able to handle a non French speaking lad like me . Recommended !

Un seul gros point négatif, j'avais mal aux joues à la fin de la soirée à force de sourire. Spectacle incroyable & l'aubergine avec les pâtes aglio e olio etaient à se pitcher sur les murs. Je recommandé fortement!!
