Overall, Unicone is widely praised for inventive, high quality artisanal ice creams made in house with bold flavors drawn from around the world, including saffron pistachio, baklava, orange blossom, rose and ube, with textures that many describe as creamy and not overly sweet. The shop atmosphere is stylish, cozy and inviting, and the staff are repeatedly noted as friendly and helpful, even as lines and crowds can make seating feel tight. Vegan options are a major plus, with reviewers highlighting satisfying dairy free choices and a flexible approach to inquiries. Some comments mention price point and portion size, and a few note that the space can feel warm or the flavors can be very sweet, but the overall experience remains positive. Beyond the tasting room, several reviews praise successful private catering with on site service and a festive vibe. Overall, the sentiment positions Unicone as a standout destination for adventurous dessert lovers in the city, valuable for its ever changing creative flavors and quality ingredients.
I sampled multiple flavors but I ended with the Ube & Mango Sticky rice flavors! The ube flavor was spot on & maybe the best I've had comparing it to 4 popular ice cream spots in Los Angeles. I loved the texture of the mango sticky rice, it was custard-like, solidified whipped cream consistency, I could not stop eating it. I asked the lady at the counter why the consistency is such & she explained it is made of coconut cream. Sadly, I am only on vacation but if I lived in Montreal, I will visit this ice cream spot all the time. My brother enjoyed the soft serve!
Ice cream was delicious 😋. If you zoom in the picture, you can see they use real vanilla. Makes a tasty difference in the taste! It's a very instagramable place too 📸
a lovely little ice cream shop. I come here often & in the summer they have a flavour of the day or week or month that is new & interesting. It has never disappointed me! I went today & i bought two pots of ice cream (there is a special going on, 2 pots for 1). They also have seating but i did not take pictures because I did not want to take picture of people without their permission. Definitely a visit worthy place if you walk saint denis!
I had a rose latte. Tastewise, the drink wasn't very cohesive, felt like I drank rosewater & coffee from separate cups. However, I've heard good things about their ice cream, I can't wait to check those out next time I visit.
