Unicone specializes in artisanal ice cream creations that push the boundaries of conventional frozen treats through creative flavor profiles and aesthetic presentation. The menu highlights rotating seasonal inspirations featuring complex combinations of dairy and vegan bases designed to cater to diverse dietary preferences. Each scoop serves as a canvas for unique textures, incorporating house-made inclusions like candied nuts, fruit reductions, and textured toppings that elevate the standard creamery experience. The shop maintains a focused, minimalist environment where the vibrant colors and elaborate designs of the frozen products take center stage. Customers select from a curated list of experimental rotating options that evolve regularly to capture fresh, high-quality ingredients. This establishment prioritizes technical precision in temperature control and consistency, ensuring every serving maintains its structure and intensity of flavor until the final bite.
Unicone is widely celebrated in Montreal as a premier destination for artisanal ice cream, known for its remarkably creative and globally inspired flavors. Visitors frequently highlight the shop's commitment to high-quality, homemade ingredients, noting that the texture is consistently creamy and the taste authentic without being overly sweet. Popular choices like the baklava sundae, ube, mango sticky rice, and pistachio consistently earn praise, as do the innovative kunefe cones. The atmosphere is frequently described as cozy, inviting, and aesthetically pleasing, complemented by friendly, professional staff who add to the overall positive experience. Whether for the unique international themes or the thoughtfully crafted seasonal treats, many consider it a must-visit spot in the city that successfully elevates the dessert experience.
A passport in a cup, & somehow it all works. Unicone isn't just another ice cream shop. It feels like someone took the world's dessert map, brought it to Montreal, & said,'Let's see what happens.'
What makes this place special is how much of the menu draws inspiration from international dessert culture, with flavors inspired by countries such as Thailand, India, Argentina, Morocco, Iran, Lebanon, & the Philippines. It is such a fun way to experience different cultures through dessert without leaving downtown Montreal.
But the one that completely stole the show for me was their Filipino-inspired Halo-Halo. If you prefer simplicity, then the'Ube Halaya' is a game changer!
Halo-Halo is already one of the Philippines' most iconic desserts, but Unicone's interpretation takes it to another level. They take the colorful, refreshing, & wonderfully textured Filipino classic & give it their own creative twist. Every spoonful brings something different - creamy, fruity, chewy, sweet, & refreshing all at once.
I also loved how adventurous the whole concept is. You can explore flavors inspired by different parts of the world, & each one feels like its own little culinary trip. The atmosphere is fun, the staff are welcoming, & the creativity behind the flavors really stands out.
The best ice cream in Montreal.
The flavours are amazing & unique.
They really know how to get the best taste out from the flavours.
I have tried their sundaes & the soft serve.
So good 😊
10/10 ice cream spot! My friend & I came here today & loved everything. The ice cream was super delicious, & the scoops were huge & very generous. The place looks gorgeous, & the service was wonderful-the girl serving us was so friendly & kept a big warm smile on her face throughout. Highly recommend😋😛!!
The ice cream must be the best in Montreal or in the top 3. Super creamy & delicious, the ube, mango sticky rice & this week's soft serve date-almond-fleur d'oranger & abricot-orange were amazing. I love that I don't have to choose between soft serve or scoops. Also the isfahan cookie is quite good, rich & flavorful. A bit greasy tho & I wish there was more jam :)
Endroit propre & confortable qui donne envie de rester, glaces incroyables, & personnel accueillant. Je recommande fortement surtout pour chill en une fin de soirée chaude ☺?
