About

Tsukuyomi Ramen specializes in the authentic preparation of thick, creamy tonkotsu broth crafted from slow-simmered pork bones. Each bowl features house-made noodles with a firm texture designed to hold the rich, flavorful soup base effectively. Toppings such as tender chashu pork, marinated soft-boiled eggs, and crisp nori provide a balanced combination of textures and umami profiles. The preparation process emphasizes traditional Japanese techniques to ensure consistent quality across every serving. Diners encounter a focused menu that prioritizes the structural integrity of the broth and the specific hydration levels of the artisanal noodles. This establishment maintains a clean, minimalist environment centered on the efficient delivery of piping hot noodle dishes prepared with precise attention to seasoning and ingredient sourcing for maximum culinary impact.

Review Summary

Tsukuyomi Ramen is widely regarded as a charming and authentic destination in Montreal, often compared favorably to ramen shops found in Japan. Patrons frequently praise the flavorful, rich broths and high-quality ingredients, particularly highlighting the crispy karaage, tender chashu, and satisfying vegan options. The atmosphere is consistently described as cozy, cool, and beautifully decorated, providing a fun and unique vibe that enhances the dining experience. While most visitors enjoy the efficient and friendly service, occasional feedback mentions varying wait times or inconsistencies in broth seasoning. Overall, it remains a popular choice for those seeking a genuine and memorable meal in an inviting setting.

Restaurant japonais sympathique. On a mangé: Les Gyoza Le takoyaki & un bol de donbury de pork La nourriture était correcte, les prix pas cher, mais plus d'un restaurant de ce type font mieux coté nourriture. Le service était rapide & impeccable.

Nice vibe & good service. Food was good, & fresh, but portions were a bit small & it was a bit overpriced.

Chashu was really disappointing - not tender & tasteless. Noodles, broth & marinated egg were good, but nothing special. Ramen portion was not big, but you can probably be full if you order a side or dessert.

Enjoyed the soup! Only problem is you're paying 25$ for a soup that isn't very filling! If you're like me & need protein in meals, I'd recommend you ask for extras! With that being said, good vibe, good service & the soup was itself, very delicious!
