My recent visit to Tropikal was marred by a lack of preparation & subpar service. Attending an event night for sip & paint, we encountered numerous issues from the start. Mind you I often go there & it use to get realy great service from Ben & Kenny. The quality of aervice really dropped & it shows. Despite arriving promptly at 9 pm, the music was excessively loud, making conversation impossible. Requests to lower the volume were unfulfilled, & the bartender's inability to make classic cocktails, like a martini, was disappointing. Food orders were incomplete, with missing items like rice, & cocktails arrived over an hour late. Attempts to get assistance from our waitress or settle the bill were futile. Yes, I still paid full price for half the plate ordered. It was evident that the entire floor staff were newbies, lacking the experience to handle a busy event night. The blame placed on me for expressing my frustration was unwarranted. Apparently I "discouraged" the new hirees. Tropikal's failure to prepare for the challenges of a busy night left us dissatisfied. I advise others to temper their expectations when dining here, as the lack of readiness & customer-centric approach may lead to disappointment.Voir plus

We loved it. We just discovered this place & what a find! A classy restaurant with Caribbean vibes. The menu is next level. Not the usual mundane & traditional offerings. Everything has a delightful & delicious twist. My boyfriend said that it was the best prepared red snapper he ever had. I had jerk chicken wings & mango, tamarind chicken wings. They were a tad salty but delicious. The rice was amazing! The couch style seats were a bit too deep for me & my boyfriend thought that the rails on the stairs could have been placed from the first stair instead of the third. We had a drink while we waited & thoroughly enjoyed the ambience, music & service. We plan to return this weekend along with some friends. Thank you Tropikal.Voir plus

J'aime beaucoup la décoration du resto. La musique était on. La nourriture est bonne aussi, sauf que pour certains plats (les tacos aux crevettes), pour le prix que ça coûte, les tacos sont petits, ça rempli pas. Le daiquiri goutait pas grand chose & le menu sur place est pas vraiment le meme que sur internet. Ps: 275$ de facturation si jannule ma réservation trop tard, c'est abusé, jamais vu ça.Voir plus

La nourriture était excellent vraiment rien à redire là-dessus. Par contre le service 😭🥴 pas le monsieur qui ramasse les assiettes & qui rempli les verres d'eau! Lui était vraiment efficace. On a attendu environ 45 minutes juste pour commander & une heure de plus pour recevoir la commande. J'ai jamais vue un service aussi long. Il y a eu plusieurs oublis dans nos commandes. Même une personne à notre table qu'ils ont oublié carrément. Il manquait des aliments dans l'assiette que j'ai commander & on ne m'a jamais avertie.Voir plus

Came here for dinner, the music, atmosphere & food are absolutely immaculate. Highly recommend coming here with a group of friends! The cocktails are pricey (mostly around 20$) but I enjoyed mine (blacker the berry). We got the coconut shrimp as an appetizer & the seasonal Trinidadian Roti Platter to share & it was more than enough! So tasty & delicious, but just a warning for some, it is spicy like advertised!Voir plus
