Review Summary

Trip de Bouffe stands out for flavorful Lebanese and Middle Eastern dishes made with fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a friendly, attentive staff. The reviews highlight a wide range of options from falafel and hummus to wraps and kebbehs, with many noting the quality, value, and casual, welcoming atmosphere. Dishes are described as delicious and satisfying, with standout items such as fresh herb fillings and soft bread, and the option to order for events or takeout is praised. The vibe is practical and family friendly, with speedy service and a lively summer outdoor setup, though a few comments mention decor could be improved for dine-in comfort and some prices are a touch high.

It was a rainy October afternoon when I decided to stop by Trip de Bouffe to grab a quick lunch. Usually when I walk by, the place has a lineup to the door, but likely due to the weather - & my late lunch - the restaurant had a calm energy I've rarely seen there.

Inside, there's a small seating area by the window flanked by walls covered with art & local event fliers. Towards the counter are shelves stacked with Lebanese snacks & desserts along with fridges filled with ready to eat meals & Lebanese cheeses.

I scanned the extensive menu & ordered a Poulet Regulier: marinated chicken with cheese rolled into a soft pita with pickled turnip, tomato, onion, olive, labneh & mint.

I only realized afterwards that adding all these toppings is an extra $2.50 (+$1 for the labneh) - which turned my $9 pita into $14. A fair price but more than I planned to spend on lunch.

The pita was delicious & the addition of the mint was a clever way to add sweetness while the Labneh (soft cheese) added creaminess to the mix. I do wish there was a bit more chicken but as a whole it was quite substantial.

The atmosphere here really shines in the summer, when avenue mont-royal is pedestrian & you can enjoy your meal on their outdoor set up of tables & chairs.

Petit resto de sandwich & prêt-à-manger pas cher pour dépanner les lunchs & les repas après-travail. Je recommande le poulet épicé.

An excellent spot with a wide variety of food & great service. The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste, but overall, the price-to-quality ratio is good. This cafe holds a special place in our heart - it opened about 12 years ago, during our final year at the nearby Conservatoire, & it quickly became our go-to spot for daily lunches. A truly memorable place

Super cute bakery/salad bar/lunch place with a dope selection of fresh food. Very helpful & nice service. A tiny bit overpriced imo but still recommended!
