Review Summary

Trip de Bouffe receives broad praise for Lebanese comfort food, with many calls of fresh flavors, a homemade feel, and a wide range of options from mezze to sandwiches and manouche. The hummus, tabouleh, kebbehs, and other dips are repeatedly highlighted as standout, and breads are described as soft and delicious. Service is consistently described as warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a welcoming vibe in a clean casual space, though some reviews note that decor could be upgraded for dine in and prices can feel a bit higher than expected on occasion. The restaurant is seen as a reliable go to for quick, flavorful meals, vegetarian options, and portions that feel generous, with many guests returning and recommending it to others, including fans of spicy chicken wraps and fresh salads. Some comments mention the option to pick up prepared dishes or eat outside when weather permits, and overall the experience is described as friendly, affordable enough, and consistently delicious. Taken together, the reviews present Trip de Bouffe as a top choice for authentic Lebanese street style food in Montreal, delivering strong flavor, variety, and a welcoming atmosphere that keeps customers coming back.

Hands down the best Lebanese food in town! Everything tasted homemade & full of flavor. The owner's hospitality made the experience even better, such a kind person who truly cares about his guests. He even offered us a discount! Definitely coming back! 100% recommend

It was a rainy October afternoon when I decided to stop by Trip de Bouffe to grab a quick lunch. Usually when I walk by, the place has a lineup to the door, but likely due to the weather - & my late lunch - the restaurant had a calm energy I've rarely seen there.

Inside, there's a small seating area by the window flanked by walls covered with art & local event fliers. Towards the counter are shelves stacked with Lebanese snacks & desserts along with fridges filled with ready to eat meals & Lebanese cheeses.

I scanned the extensive menu & ordered a Poulet Regulier: marinated chicken with cheese rolled into a soft pita with pickled turnip, tomato, onion, olive, labneh & mint.

I only realized afterwards that adding all these toppings is an extra $2.50 (+$1 for the labneh) - which turned my $9 pita into $14. A fair price but more than I planned to spend on lunch.

The pita was delicious & the addition of the mint was a clever way to add sweetness while the Labneh (soft cheese) added creaminess to the mix. I do wish there was a bit more chicken but as a whole it was quite substantial.

The atmosphere here really shines in the summer, when avenue mont-royal is pedestrian & you can enjoy your meal on their outdoor set up of tables & chairs.

As i was walking the street , i smelled the lebanese nostalgia but didn't realize where it was coming from, & then i was like could i be imagining, when i wrote zaatar on maps got it it was the yummiest place & friendly stuff! I think if they add an option cheese with spicy sauce would be even greater!

I got two small plates to go, one "vegetalien" & one kofta with potatoes. Plates include rice. Service was extremely nice & I loved the vibe (they were playing A Tribe Called Quest, very non-Lebanese but it was neat), but the food was only average, a bit too salty & the portion size is not that impressive- I'll probably have to eat both for dinner & that's about $22 with sales tax. There are better value Middle Eastern places in Montreal (& every city in Canada).

My best friend is lebanese so grew up partly in the community. The food is good or super good as well as authentic, but the portions are small & expensive. They can do that because they are the only "lebanese bakery" around. There's a small grocery section, pretty much the only "near east" one for the whole plateau region.

A small place, with little space to eat-in, but if you're at the street market on Mont-Royal, there's always places to sit outside. I grew up on Lebanese food cooked by good family friends, food from this restaurant is the real thing. Their pitas, made in-house, are super soft &, well, perfect. Everything there is full-flavour, I like to go sometimes & pick up things there for a picnic as there are many dishes to choose from, a wide variety of pre-packaged tubs (hummus, tabouleh, baba ghanoush, etc.) & hot meal items. I'm not able to be in this neighbourhood without my tastbuds watering. If you want to be satisfied with the quality of food for your money, & feel well-fed (I'm sure there's love in that food), eat here.

Great selection of hot & cold Lebanese dishes for dining in or take away. Tried the fattoush, shawarma, chicken rolls, & meat kebbe. All delicious.
