The terrasse was opne to the first really comfortable day of the year. I had no idea what to expect, but the food was ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Had the Pollo, the squid & the Ceviche. The pollo was well fried, not over fried, moist, & the sauce - delicious! The Squid... OH MY it was my favourite. Not chewy AT ALL, & cooked to a way where there was a slight crisp, paired with a slightly sweet purée. & the ceviche, WHAT A SURPRISE! The fish itself was super fresh, & there was like different types of corn. On their own there was this big corn type of vegetable that wasn't that great, but with a mouthful of all the ingredients together - so savory & with plenty of textures.
The idea is you choose several plates & share.
It was a fantastic dining experience for me, laid back but still with a almost gastronomy experience. The price of the plates themselves was very accessible (it was drinks for us that took a part of the bill ;) )
We were seated at the bar which ii the central piece, & people were milling about.
The decor is fantastic - not overdone, a bit on the luxe side (velvet cushioned seating) but not overly.
Really, really glad I tried here (I was here for work).
A hidden gem in downtown Montreal. Entrance is obscured by purple curtains. Atmosphere was that of a lively bar. Spanish music playing & lots of happy locals. Food was excellent. Portions are on the smaller side, but tasty. Recommend trying their cocktail specialties, such as the traditional Pisco sour. Goes very well with the fried chicken traditional dish. They use habanero peppers generously, so the dishes are quite spicy. Seating are all stools. Walk-ins are welcome but reservations are recommended for the best spots by the windows.
The food & drinks are just too notch here ! The ambiance is great, the staff is friendly. Always a pleasure dinning at this place !
We had a great night out. Food was amazing & loved the bar style setup.
Excellent food, fun vibe & perfect pit stop before a night out. Great location. Be ready to sit at a bar top. The drinks / menu feel true to the Peruvian theme in a tapas style.
Tiradito is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, & it's easy to understand how it has become one of Montreal's most beloved Peruvian destinations. The restaurant blends the spirit of a lively tapas bar with the finesse of contemporary gastronomy, all guided by Executive Chef Marcel Larrea, who delivers an explosion of flavors with every dish.
The concept is distinctive: no tables, only counters wrapping around the room. It creates a vibrant, social atmosphere where the energy of the kitchen becomes part of the experience.
🍽? The Food
We sampled a selection of classics - ceviche, causa, chicharrón, yuca fries, cocktails & pisco.
Each plate arrives like a piece of art: visually stunning, meticulously composed, & bursting with color. & the best part is that the taste fully lives up to the presentation.
Ceviche: a masterclass in balance. The fish is silky & tender, contrasted by the crunch of the cancha corn, creating a refined interplay of textures.
Causa: delicate & refreshing, with layers that reveal themselves gradually on the palate.
Chicharrón: crisp, generous, & deeply satisfying, elevated by the chef's Peruvian touch.
Yuca fries: a more elegant & wholesome alternative to traditional fries, with a dense yet soft interior.
Cocktails & pisco: expertly crafted, aromatic, & transporting - the kind of drinks that make you feel like you're sitting somewhere tropical by the sea.
At several moments, the flavors were so bright & evocative that I genuinely felt transported far from downtown Montreal.
🌟 Ambiance & Service
The space is trendy, stylish, & perfect for impressing a friend, colleague, or date. The service is warm & efficient.
💸 Value
For such a central location, the ambiance, & the level of culinary execution, the prices are surprisingly reasonable. You leave feeling like you've experienced something special without the bill becoming excessive.
Bottom line: Tiradito remains one of Montreal's standout ambassadors of Peruvian cuisine. A must?visit for anyone looking to travel through flavor without leaving the city. This place has become one of our top restaurant spots in this city. Highly recommended.

This place was highly recommended & it did not disappoint! Lots of amazing tapas to try. All bar seating so you are in the action & it is fun! The bartenders/servers had fantastic suggestions. Best ceviche! You must go!
Great food, especially the salmon tartare, great drinks, great service. Only knocked 1 star off atmosphere because it was noisier than we like.
