The ambiance is so nice at the bar, the music & service were on top! My bf asked our server to choose 5 best menus for us at his discretion & I regretted a little, tbh 😅 his choices were okay, but I think he could've recommended better variations/combinations. Ceviche was classic, the octopus anticuchos were also not too bad. I definitely need to go back to try more.View more

Assurément un des meilleurs restaurant en ville, & j'en ai fréquenté BEAUCOUP ! J'y suis allé deux fois dans la même année, c'est peu dire. Le concept du grand bar''carré'' avec une partie de la cuisine au centre est génial. Le staff est très sympathique & on discute avec eux de longues minutes de tout & de rien tout en se faisant concocter des cocktails incroyables. Un des cuisiniers qui est d'origine Péruvienne est venu nous parler de son plat & de sa culture car nous étions curieux. Les plats sont tout autant exceptionnels. Je recommande les yeux fermés. Le seul bémol est que je ne peux pas y aller aussi souvent que je le souhaiterais.View more

Very nice atmosphere mostly all bar seating, which is different & cool. The food however, at least the dishes I ordered were very mediocre. Bar food for all bar seating I guess. Either way I still had a good time. Mitch was a fantastic server, very tentative & funny.View more

In my experience at the Tiradito bar, I found it disappointing due to its misleading concept. They present themselves as a "bar" but only offer the benefits of this concept for their own benefit. The dining area is cramped, offering small portions "tapas" at restaurant-level prices, yet the cocktails stand out as exceptional. Unlike the Bar concept, where you can stay as long as you continue ordering drinks & food. Tiradito operates with fixed time slots for customers. They lack flexibility in reservations, phone responsiveness, food ordering, & create pressure for patrons to leave, despite claiming to provide refined service. If your goal is to eat Peruvian food, I recommend avoiding this concept. However, if you're interested in trying some Peruvian-inspired tapas, you'll find some delicious options here.View more

Nous étions 2, placés sur le bar au niveau des barmans. Axel nous a servi ces délicieux cocktails, c'était extra de pouvoir le voir réaliser les différents cocktails de la carte juste devant nous. La nourriture était savoureuse, & nous avons aimé la formule tapas pour pouvoir goûter aux différents plats. Une superbe expérience que nous n'hésiterons pas à recommander autour de nous !View more

via LibroThough the food quality, service & ambience of your restaurant was excellent I have to say that I was shocked to see our server/bartender using his bare hands to handle each food item during food prep & at the same time talking over the food while engaging with the guests. He was also the one to type in kitchen orders on the screen & to handle the payment machine. I never saw him wash his hands once (no sink even visible) though he occasionally wiped them on a rag that I think he also used to wipe down the counter. He was an excellent & knowledgeable server & & I assume the use of bare hands (no tongs or even gloves) is a management/owner approved practice. I am astounded that this passes restaurant health regulations. I'm sorry I cannot recommend the restaurant because of this practice alone. I have never seen anything like it & kept wondering if this was some new « hip » restaurant service trend (I hope not!). I'm really sorry to have to tell you that overall I left with a negative impression that I cannot shake despite the fact that so many other aspects of the experience were positive. I sincerely hope that management/ownership will consider changing this unsanitary practice.

We were disappointed at this restaurant. Portions are very small, even for the tapas theme. Waitress was not very helpful. It has a very young atmosphere, especially because there are no tables, it's a very long bar. The mai-cha cocktail was pretty good. Ceviche not so much. The bao bun was good.View more

Un vrai resto-bar péruvien servant de la cuisine nikkei, cette fusion Japon Pérou. Selon l'ami péruvien qui m'accompagnait c'était comme au Pérou si ce n'est les ingrédients qu'on ne trouve pas au Québec. Tous les plats se partagent facilement façon tapas, permettant de passer un moment convivial. Le bar fait le tour de la salle créant une ambiance entre bar & restaurant. Avec également plein de bons cocktails, les gens sont là pour avoir du plaisir & s'amuser. Ça se sent. Juste à côté vous avez au sous-sol le bar Pelicano avec DJ & le restaurant Chifa, qui est plus en mode restaurant que resto bar & qui sert la cuisine chifa, cette cuisine péruvienne d'inspiration chinoise.View more

La nourriture & le service était PLUS QUE PARFAIT !!! Ça faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas bien manger de la sorte. Le seul gros gros bémol (qui joue sur l'expérience globale) sont les tabourets qui sont vraiment vraiment inconfortable. Pas d'appuie pour le dos, pas de d'appuie pied sur le banc en soit. L'appuie pied sur le bar est trop bas. Les bancs sont fixe, ce qui ne permet pas d'être debout.. ce que j'aurais préféré au lieu d'être assis, les pieds pendant sans appui. Impossible de tenir ma serviette de table...
Bref, concept cool mais à repenser coté confort!
via LibroWhile everyone who worked there was incredibly nice, the service was lacking. We waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged & over an hour for our food. While there were 4 people working in the area we sat (at the bar) plus the manager, no one checked on us. My husband sat for 45 minutes with an empty glass waiting to order another drink. Maybe it was an off night & the team was short staffed. I really can't believe this restaurant was mentioned by Conde Naste - I would not consider it at that calibre & would not recommend. It is fine but I wouldn't seek it out.

This is more a tapas bar than a regular restaurant. Most of the seats are at the bar counter, with few communal tables.
The food is fantastic. Mix if Peruvian & Asian, amazing quality & great service. Prices are fair, considering the quality. Good wine, beer & drinks list.View more

The food is incredible. Me & my husband are Peruvian food fans & wherever we travel we try the local restaurants, to remind us of our dating years. The food was a variation of traditional Peruvian that was really well done, something unique that we hadn't tried in more than a decade of sampling Peruvian restaurants. Portions were small, but that's what we expected. That mango chicharrón salad, my dear goodness, it might have been the best chicharrón I have eaten in my whole life.
Unfortunately, the glorious experience of the food was tainted by the atmosphere. Even if we had reservations, we were led to the bar, where I was given a seat at an end & only one of my feet could reach the underneath metal rail, while the other was hanging. My leg hurt by the end of the meal & we had to rush our dinner. I saw a couple of tables still available on the terrace, but we were told only the bar was available. When we left, the tableS (yes, plural) were still available.
The music was incredibly LOUD, YES, VERY LOUD TO THE POINT OF HAVING DIFFICULTY HAVING A CONVERSATION & WE HAD TO SHOUT AT EACH OTHER, & it was very annoying reggaeton more apt for a dance floor than for drinks with friends while you eat & talk. The food had amazing presentation, or that's what we think, because the inside of the place was very dark & they had this very bright red neon sign making everything very red, so the work spent on the presentation of the food was wasted.
I am sad writing this review, because this is truly a great, innovative approach to Peruvian food. This food is extraordinary, is so well done, with so much craft & attention to detail. We truly loved it, & that's something that doesn't usually happen with us & variations of Peruvian food. Yet, the rest of the experience left a lot to be desired & shows a lack of respect for the food they make. The lighting choice was truly puzzling, honestly, what's the point of investing so much effort into the presentation of food that you can barely see? You can see in the pictures of other reviews how red everything looks here.
I hope that they fix these issues, because the food is truly remarkable. & maybe we are not the target audience of this place, true, but, hey, at least seat people in such a way their legs don't hurt & they have ti rush dinner.View more

Beautiful restaurant, amazing & knowledgeable staff. the restaurant is really beautiful. they all have high chairs around the bar, so I recommend to definitely book in advance. no kids which is amazing for people who has no kids & wants to enjoy their drink. amazing food. everything we ordered came out great. did I say the interior was beautiful?View more

Le cadre est cozy, le concept de bar en U est intéressant mais des chaises hautes seraient mieux, nous étions mal installé sur les tabourets. La pieuvre était trés bonne bien que pour le prix une ou deux bouchées de plus serait appréciable, le ceviche lui aussi était trés bon. Malheureusement la suite n'a pas suivi, les crevettes croustillantes étaient fades & le poulet croustillant n'était pas du tout croustillant, on aurait dit une escalope milanaise froide. Le dernier plat lui (frites de Yuka) n'est jamais arrivé. Nous avons eu nos cocktails à l'arrivée du 2e plat, pour payer là encore l'attente était longue. Assez déçu notre soirée car la carte donnait vraiment envie.View more

Il y avait une très mauvaise odeur car le bar n'était pas bien nettoyé (c'est un point à ne pas négliger). La personne qui faisait les drinks ne fait pas attention que le bat est petit, on a du drink sur nos visages en ouvrant le boisson par exemple. Le drink a pris bcp de temps pour y arriver. La nourriture n'était pas à la hauteur cette fois ci, contrairement aux autres fois.
Je n'ai jamais eu de problèmes auparavant chez Tiradito mais hier c'était l'enfer & j'étais déçu devant mon ami. Je soulève mes commentaires pour vous aider à améliorer & garder votre image. Merci
