The dishes were delicious, rich in flavors, & prepared with care. The ambiance was warm & welcoming, & the service was outstanding. The staff was very attentive & made us feel right at home. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an authentic & flavorful culinary experience. I will definitely be coming back!
Best Indian food in Montreal! I know the place since over 15 years, it's legendary! Amazing tasty food, generous portions, low prices, spicy just perfect, all their dishes are delicious, my favorites are the butter chicken, palak paneer, lamb curry, their naan & rice, gulab jamun, & tandoori chicken! But really, everything is excellent! I love how the taste of dishes is constant & always great, that you can count that it is always good, also not oily. The family is so nice, polite, & makes it a great experience! I like how it's not a service at the table, more like a buffet that they serve you, nothing fancy & friendly ambiance! A must if you visit downtown Montreal! Don't miss it!
I've been going to this restaurant since it opened, & it continues to be great. Delicious food for a very reasonable price. I particularly like the palak paneer & the chana samosa. The place itself is serviceable & not fancy, but the food is good enough I often bring friends visiting from out of town here.
Had an amazing dinner at this place!!! Ghar ka swad, Highly recommended.. Top-class taste & service!
Great food, transported us to India. Great prices for the variety offered!
The butter chicken was very tasty to me. Also had their beef but the soup of it felt watery. Pani puri was not good at all. I thought the place & people were good until the guy with the big eyes kept looking at my female friends' bare legs as she was wearing a skirt. I kept wondering why he kept looking at my table, specifically towards her. Then we were leaving & he kept his gaze on her legs. Very uncomfortable. That moment was when we will never come back again despite the authenticity it brought & the good meals (aside from the pani puri & the watery beef).
Food is ok but very mild seasoning, sauce was too watery for my liking. If you dont like your meal heavily seasoned then this is ok. I think i would order again hopefully some improvement next time. The best thing is the price is good & you get to taste a variey of food!
I recently stopped by for a vegetarian pakora, & I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The pakoras were perfectly crisp & packed with flavor, making for a delightful snack. I'm already looking forward to coming back & trying a full lunch soon. If the rest of the menu is anything like the pakora, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Highly recommend giving this place a try!
The atmosphere is definetely not good, but I see people enjoying the food instead, which is fair enough. The food itself was of great taste. Veg thali was delightful & tasty.
Très bonne place pour manger indien au centre-ville. Beaucoup de choix de plats différents, bonne nourriture avec beaucoup de goûts & service agréable & rapide! Je recommande a tous les amateurs de bouffe indienne.
It seems that the quality of their lamb biryani has gone down. Not much flavor, onions are under cooked (crunchy), lamb pieces aren't very tender & the quantity of meat is much less than before. Not going back again.
The most authentic Indian restaurant I've seen in Montréal. Everything is superb. Finger lickin good in every sense of the word. Melt in the mouth naan, mildly spicy almost oil free curries. Loved it!
