Review Summary

Thali is widely regarded as a go to destination for affordable and flavorful Indian cuisine in Montreal, consistently praised for its generous portion sizes and fresh naan. Many patrons appreciate the efficient, friendly service and the value offered by the varied thali platters, which include options like butter chicken, lamb, and a range of vegetarian curries. While the majority of visitors highlight the delicious, home cooked quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere of this family owned establishment, some feedback notes inconsistencies in food preparation, varying experiences with staff demeanor, and concerns regarding the cleanliness or ambiance of the dining space. Despite occasional reports of uneven quality or service lapses, the restaurant maintains a loyal following of students and locals who consider it an essential spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

Didn't wanted to waste the food but it was so oily & I didn't even get the water on dining table till end. It is good in quantity but zero in taste. The non vegetarian food was so over cooked & zero in taste. Only for GORA PAKORAS!

BEST INDIAN RESTAURANT IN MTL!

My friend recommend me this place & I'm so happy I discovered it! Amazing portions for the cheap thalis, 15$ for non vegetarian (2 meats, 1 veg) & 14$ for vegetarian (3 veg) exploding with aromas & spicy flavours. They are huge & come with rice & a huge fresh naan. The ladies who work there are super sweet!

I would recommend to get the lamb: it's sooo delicious that at my second time there I took twice of it for my non vegetarian thali that comes with 2 meats & 1 vegetable option that you can choose. YUM

Family owned vibe, the restaurant as a good flow of custumers. I ordered a vegetarian Thali & was really satisfied with my meal. Service was quick & friendly, the pretty cashier was fun to talk to. My friend ordered lamb & buttered chicken & really enjoyed his meal too. One of the best place to go for a value wise indian restaurant in Montreal💪

The place itself is not the greatest looking but the food is really good. We did order a thali & we could choose four options from the buffet. All the vegetarian ones were flavorful, good amount of spicyness, basically everything you want. The fresh garlic Naan was delicious as well as the fresh Mango Lassy. I will definitely come back when I am around.

Got a vegetarian thali to share with my girlfriend. Lots of food, definitely worth the price. It's buffet style so quick service but you can't make any adjustments to the food. But food is very tasty as is. Atmosphere is okay. For a quick tasty cheap meal I'd come again.

Thali is my go-to for Indian street food. I always get the non-vegetarian thali with butter chicken, palak paneer, & lamb curry-but the vegetarian options are just as good! I also love their garlic naan & samosas, & the staff is always super friendly.

I recently stopped by for a vegetarian pakora, & I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The pakoras were perfectly crisp & packed with flavor, making for a delightful snack. I'm already looking forward to coming back & trying a full lunch soon. If the rest of the menu is anything like the pakora, I'm sure it'll be fantastic. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Very delicious but also veeery spicy. Many vegetarian & vegan options. I couldn't eat naan (gluten allergy) in my dish so they gave me extra rice instead. Prices are pretty affordable. People working here are super nice & patient. The restaurant was very clean & cozy, not many seats but we found a place. I will be coming back.

This place is unique in both its butter chicken dish & vegetarian buffet choices. Definitely delicious for the price you pay. At less than 10 dollars a meal incl. Tax the food is flavourful & you will finish your plate!

A slightly larger portion of meat would probably be appreciated in terms of how many pieces you are given per choice.

However, having dined here many times, I would recommend it. Quick, yummy & filling (to a point).
