This was one of the absolute best meals of my entire life! Every bite was flavored & textured to perfection. It's been a long time since I've had a meal that I was this surprised by. The chef, Victor was incredibly passionate & welcoming. He started the meal by showing us a platter displaying some of the raw produce they would be using that evening. He even had us try some of the raw fruits, herbs, & spices before starting the meal. Such a neat way to connect with your meal! The chef also took the time to carefully explain each dish on the menu to us. It was really neat to see the passion & attention to detail from the head chef directly to us as diners. We had the tasting experience with wine pairing & dessert, & also ordered an extra plate of the "scallop of the day". The scallop dish was scallop crudo made with local strawberries, strawberry vinegar, guanciale, & candied almonds. It was maybe the single best dish I've had in my entire life - I swear it almost made me cry. My girlfriend has Celiac disease, so she is strictly gluten-free. The staff were absolutely incredible with their accommodations to make the tasting menu gluten-free, without feeling like my girlfriend was "missing out" on any portion of the "regular" tasting menu with gluten. Her dishes were just as good as the "regular" gluten-containing dishes on the tasting menu. Even for my dishes, they separated most of the gluten-containing elements (such as fried croquettes) so that she could try some of my dish without risk of cross-contamination. We are visiting from the US, & after the meal the chef & his team even took time to chat with us & write down ~a dozen recommendations for other lunch/dinner options in Montreal. It was a small gesture, but really showed the team's appreciation for their customer, & their attention to detail. Overall, I cannot recommend this place highly enough! My girlfriend & I spent the entire meal amazed at each bite. The portions were generous for a tasting menu, & the price was excellent for the quality, even with the wine pairing & dessert. They have only been open for 2 months, but there is something VERY special going on at Terroirs Restaurant. We will definitely be returning next time we are in Montreal.View more

This was a truly unique & incredibly personalized experience. On top of the amazing food - the staff & even owners themselves go above & beyond to ensure you're enjoying your time there. One of the owners, Marc, talked us through every item we ordered, including where it came from, why it was selected, & how it fits the theme of the restaurant. He even threw in an extra dish! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant & will certainly come back next time I'm in Montreal.View more

Nous avons pris le menu expérience avec l'accord mets-&-vins. Toutes les sauces étaient délicieuses. Nous avons particulièrement aimé le magret de canard & le crudo de pétoncles. On a pris le temps de nous expliquer les plats & les accords. Tout était bien distancé, nous n'avons pas eu de temps mort. Nous avons bien mangé & avons passé une excellente soirée. Une belle découverte dans le quartier Shop Angus! Le restau a ouvert depuis peu & met en lumière les produits locaux québécois. Les propriétaires sont des passionnés du manger beau & bon avec des produits frais. Le service est aux petits soins & on vous offre même une belle présentation des produits dans leur état brut & on vous raconte l'histoire de la provenance de ces beaux produits. Que dire de la nourriture! C'était excellent, rien à envier aux restaurants gastronomiques qui coûtent 3 à 4 fois plus chers! Les assaisonnements & associations sont bien réalisés & les portions sont généreuses. Les chefs nous montrent tout l'étendu de leur talent dans l'assiette. Le magret de canard & l'arrivage du moment (truite de l'Estrie) nous ont laissé sans voix. La limonade maison est aussi à essayer, pas trop sucrée avec un bon goût de citron naturel qui rafraîchit les papilles! Nous avons terminé nos repas avec 3 desserts, tous différents par leurs saveurs. Le premier dessert était un brownie au chocolat infusé dans une feuille de figuier avec des prunes confites par-dessus! Un vrai délice. Le deuxième dessert était une pâte brisée au caramel beurre salé avec un coulis de fraises & des fraises fraîches du Québec. Un régal pas trop sucré avec beaucoup de goût! Le dernier dessert était un gâteau sur lequel était posé des pêches coupées en quartiers. Ce dessert était très frais & très original! Je pourrais parler pendant des heures sur ce restaurant aussi bien sur la nourriture que sur cadre intimiste (peu de places assises), pas trop bruyant & avec un service qui dépasse les attentes mais le mieux c'est que vous alliez voir vous-même ce lieu qui vaut le détour! We had a great dinner at Terroirs: the food was excellent: real farm to table experience, a good mix between refined & hearty food, very well cooked & with incredibly fresh & tasteful ingredients. It was easy to spot the great talent of the young chef. The service was outstanding: one can see that the owners are really passionate about the restaurant & explained everything in detail. We've travelled round the world & we've been to many great restaurants (in including a few Michelin stars) & I think -given the talent & the youth of its team- that Terroirs has the potential to become one the best restaurants in Montreal.View more
