Telling you now, as a chef with over 33 years of experience, that Angelo & his team over at Terrasse Thanos are making some of the best food to come out of Montreal in a good while. I have eaten there more than once, & have never had a single complaint. You can taste the love & craftsmanship & skill that goes into every plate there. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, & inviting. Do yourself a favor, & make a reservation. You will not be disappointed!!
Terrasse Thanos is a really enjoyable spot with a warm, friendly atmosphere. We tried the calamari, the starter platter (a generous mix of bites to share), the platter of meats, & their homemade cheesecake. Everything was delicious. The calamari was fresh & well-seasoned, the starter platter was full of variety & perfect for sharing, the meat platter was generous & full of flavour, & the cheesecake tasted truly homemade & was the perfect way to end the meal.
The Greek potatoes that came with the meat platter might just be the best I have had, they were perfectly cooked, seasoned with olive oil, lemon, garlic & oregano.
It is also bring-your-own wine (BYOW), which makes the experience even better. The staff & owners are amazing, very welcoming, & they make you feel right at home.
A great place to relax, enjoy good food, & have a comfortable evening. Definitely worth visiting.

Terrasse Thanos is such a great restaurant! The owner is very nice, the staff is great & very friendly. The food is to die for!!!! It is delicious! & the cheesecake is exceptional! I had an outstanding experience there & will most definitely visit as often as possible!
La cuisine est excellente. Le service remarquable. L'option'apportez votre vin' est superbe. Compte tenu de la disposition d'une section des tables, beaucoup de familles viennent là pour des anniversaires. Des enfants sa crient & court après les repas. Faut considérer cette situation & opter pour la terrasse quand la météo est propice.
We just had a baptism here this past weekend & everything was phenomenal!!! The service, the FOOD, the atmosphere. Some of the best Greek food I've had in a long time. Everything was so fresh. You walk out of their feeling like family. The owner is so welcoming & the staff was great! They have a beautiful terrasse as well. I definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic Greek food & atmosphere & looking for a change of scenery & a good time!
We visit Terrasse Thanos at least once every other month. It's definitely worth the drive into the city. Despite its location, we usually find parking. & if we need to park a bit farther away, well, it's a great excuse to burn off some of the calories we've consumed! The food is superb-everything from the appetizers & dips to the pizza & mixed grilled meat platter is delicious. Oh, & we love their Greek dessert, galaktoboureko! Angelo & his team create a welcoming atmosphere. A special shout-out to our regular waiter, Thanassis, who truly embodies excellent customer service! Bonus: it's a BYOW establishment.
We visited Terrasse Thanos for supper last week & loved it. The food, the decor, the ambience, the service... everything was perfect. We will definitely visit again soon. An amazing restaurant.

J'adore ce resto, nous y allons depuis des années, la terrasse est vraiment sympathique . Mais qu'est-il arrivé à vos prix? 2 bonnes augmentations en quelques mois. Ça devient trop cher malheureusement 🫤
Scrolling Google looking for a resto & found Terrasse Thanos. Went on a Friday warm evening, was greeted by a smiling waitress, & chose to sit outside on a fully occupied terrasse. Didn't take long to get a table & asked what the authentic dishes were on the menu. I was recommended to try the seafood grilled platter, which includes crispy calamari, grilled octopus, shrimp & salmon accompanied by rice, potatoes, & salad. All was delicious. For dessert we chose homemade cheesecake which was fantastic. So glad we found this little gem. The staff is very attentive & made us feel welcome. We had the great pleasure of being served by Harad, she was attentive, charming & professional. Let me say to the owner he's lucky to have her. Will be back for certain & very soon. Let me mention, we've been to other Greek restaurants, & so far none are comparable to Thanos.
This place is a sweet little gem in the plateau, with great Greek food, kind staff & a beautiful terrasse! The food is absolutely delicious every time, & there is nothing better than a restaurant that is byob!

My experience at Terrasse Thanos was exceptional from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service & charming ambiance made for a memorable evening. Thank you Angelo for the hospitality & authentic tasty Greek food & Dennis for the top notch service. PS. Dennis, our son Sebastian is willing to give you a shot at redemption in another arm wrestle next time we visit!
The food was fresh & delicious! The waiter was friendly & the owner took time to sit down with us & talk. Let's not forget the place was super clean. It was very relaxing & it felt like home! Thank you Terrasse Thanos for an excellent experience!

First off shall I mention Homemade,Homemade,Homemade !!
Everything's authentic just like mom would make 30 years ago & made with Meraki
( which I think means love in Greek )
( & also their slogan )
The spana , the fish & chips & oh wow the pizza ( a perfect crust & so not stingy on the toppings ) it was all so delicious.
Everything about our night was just amazing.
From the atmosphere & the energy you feel around you as well as the interactions between everyone else right down to the very last French fry on my plate lol
I assure you you dont want (& I do not want you to ) miss out on this !!!
I end this with a huge shoutout to Angelo ( the owner ) , his family & friends keep it up !!!
