My friend & I went for drinks & a bite to eat on Friday, July 10 At 4:30 PM. Our server, Catherine was being very pushy for us to order food from the beginning, but we wanted to enjoy our drinks first since we weren't starving. She then warned us that we were not allowed to stay more than 1.5 hours because they want to rotate the tables given it gets busy. Both my friend & I are foodies & we've been too many rooftop terraces & restaurants & unless your website specifies it or the restaurant has 2 seatings you cannot say that to customers. When we ordered our last dish, she even told us last call & our bill was over 200$. It's not about the rotation of tables it's about how much the customer spends, & when we complained to the manager Charles, he was very kind & understanding & generous & offered us free drinks, but we were done for the evening. It wasn't about the money, it was about teaching staff proper etiquette in a restaurant & not rush your customers. Besides her poor attitude, the place is really nice & the food was really good.
It's one of my favourite terraces in Montreal. The decor is nice, view is beautiful & overall ambiance is fun. Food was tasty & good proportions. Service was also polite & friendly. He offered us blankets when it got a bit breezy (bonus points for that!). Overall, a good experience.
Belvu is such a vibe. Pornstar martini is to die for & paired with the lamb chops… heavenly. Shoutout to Antoine for making our experience even better, I will be sure to recommend Belvu as the ideal summer Terrace!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting for the re-opening summer terrace with some friends on its inaugural day. While the experience was generally enjoyable, there were a few minor hiccups along the way. These were likely due to the fact that some of the staff hadn't been in the service industry since last summer, as many of them were busy with school commitments. Understanding that it takes time for everyone to get back into the swing of things, I decided to return last Saturday to see how things had improved.
I'm thrilled to report that the service was truly outstanding during my second visit! It was clear that the staff had found their rhythm & were operating with much more confidence & efficiency. It's crucial to give employees the necessary time to adjust & reacquaint themselves with their roles, especially after a long break. One individual who particularly impressed me was Lea, the supervisor. She shone brightly amidst the team, demonstrating not only her professionalism & expertise but also a genuine dedication to ensuring every guest had a wonderful experience. Her attentiveness & warmth made a significant difference, & it was evident that she played a key role in the smooth operation of the terrace. Overall, my experience was greatly enhanced by the staff's hard work & commitment to service, making me eager to return once again!
this year long terrace is one you can't find elsewhere in montreal! sitting inside the marriott, it has great views of the city. with cool boho-chic decor during the summer & cozy apres-ski vibes in the winter, it's definitely a picturesque insta-worthy place to visit for dinner or drinks! I believe they have the best truffle parmesan fries across all terraces in Montreal! Disco ball drink (blue with flower) is the prettiest drink they serve. Service can be spotty during peak times in the summer & it can get pretty empty in the winter (but they have plenty of firepits & heaters!). Expect terrace prices, after all youre paying for not only the drinks/food but the experience too!
We went to the terrace to enjoy the nice weather & have cocktails. However, the receptionist at the entrance killed the mood with her unpleasant attitude. She seated us at a bar table in the corner of the terrace. We kindly asked another waiter if we could have a regular table (not a bar table). He found us a nice spot, but then the receptionist came back to us with an annoyed expression, & asked,'Who gave you this table, & why did you move?' She was very rude. Also, she said that the table was'booked.' even though there were plenty of empty tables available. We were a party of 2 & had made a reservation. The staff's explanation didn't make any sense that our reservation for the table wasn't guaranteed, yet it was supposedly guaranteed for others. Service needs to be improved. On a positive note, the cocktails were great. I really enjoyed Belvue cocktail, dj & music. The waiter who served us was very nice :)
