From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warmth & genuine hospitality. Aside from the warm atmosphere & phenomenal food, it is the co-owner that made this experience one my friend & I won't forget. He personally sat down with us & shared stories & insights about Tunisia - his passion, kindness, & generosity made us feel completely at home despite being so far away. Will be coming back everytime I'm in montreal!! :)
I had the Ojja & my husband had the kafteji. Our meals were excellent, unlike any ordinary dinner. We sat outside on a peaceful street near the hubbub of the Rue Saint Laurent & enjoyed the lovely music of the Oud. The staff & proprietor made us feel welcome & they seemed genuinely pleased to share their cuisine with us.
Great food, the staff was exceptionally kind :) We nibbled on a pretty spicy pepper which was an experience but the food tasted really great!
My wife & I were out for a walk tonight & stopped in front of TerraCotta restaurant to inspect the menu. The co-owner Salim came out to greet us. He was warm & friendly & told us his restaurant featured Tunisian/Italian food. We decided right then to try it.
We began with fried Tunisian puff pastry with egg, mashed potatoes, parsley & tuna. First time we've ever eaten something like this & it was sublime.
For the mains, my wife had lamb on a bed of couscous & chick peas...Delicious.
I had lamb on a bed of cooked veggies on top of mashed potatoes. Just before being served the waiter poured a very small glass of honey on it, followed by a very small glass of pistachio pieces...again sublime!
Terracotta combines lovely service, the warmth of Salim, & new taste sensations.
Belle ambiance. Des bons plats tunisiens a essayé. Prendre note que les plats epicées.
Excellente cuisine ! Un service exceptionnel de la part de Ons!
Je recommande fortement !
