Ive been looking for a vietnamese restaurant that serves a wider variety of dishes for a while & I was suggested T'ami by many people!
The interior is homey & the owner (?) was very welcoming. We ordered the mango salad & northern style spring rolls to start off with first. The mango salad had a strong fish sauce & sugar taste which reminded me of my childhood growing up in vietnam. The northern style summer rolls were beautifully presented & tasted delicious with a fermented shrimp paste base sauce. For the mains, we ordered bun cha, banh hoi bo nuong la lot, & banh xeo. Again, the presentation was amazing! The food was light & fresh & the fish sauces were not too strong. The flavours were all authentic too! For dessert, we ordered the che 3 mau & mango sticky rice. Both desserts were impeccable. The man that served us was really friendly & funny as well. Please note it may be a family restaurant so service may take a while. Please be patient! I would be coming back for sure & bringing my family next time.
We ordered in & started with the wonton soup, which was absolutely delicious & easily my favorite part of the meal. My husband really enjoyed it too. He also had the vegetarian imperial rolls & was a big fan.
We shared the Banh Hoi Thit Nuong (grilled pork), a go-to for me when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, & the grilled beef with rice. Both meats had a nice grilled char flavor that we appreciated.
That said, I was expecting a little more overall based on the reviews & photos. It also felt a little overpriced for what it was. Still, everything was pretty good. We'd definitely order the soup again, possibly even visit in person just for that.
Went with a friend I'd travelled to Vietnam with… food exactly as we had over there & haven't properly been able to locate here. & dishes beyond the standard Viet resto offerings of pho, spring rolls & grilled proteins.
.
Try the banh xèo & banh tom Hà N?i. 10/10 would go again in a heartbeat.
Great Vietnamese spot, big menu with interesting choices!
We had the T'ami Imperial Rolls, tom yum soup as entrés & for the main dishes; T1 - Bun Cha Ha Noi & the G5-Chicken, Beef & Grilled Shrimp.
Very tasty grilled meats & flavourful sauce!
Will be returning soon.
Best viet restaurant I've been so far ! Felt very authentic & food was amazinggg!! I rly liked the steamed rice rolls (bc3) & the grilled beef wrapped in betel leaves (t6). The beef stew in red wine pho (p2) was also delishh 😋
The service was surprisingly fast for a friday packed restaurant! The food was okay for the most of it.. might be a little pricey as there is plenty of options for vietnamese cuisine in our beautiful city tho! So to give you an idea we had 3 appetizers: spring rolls, tum yun soup, & shrimp crispy donut & 5 mains: bun cuon mixed, bun cha, loc lac beef, trio grilled with rice, & crispy noodle mixed for a total of 200$ included tips!
A good bring your own wine Vietnamese restaurant in little Italy with a decent section from the menu.
We were 3 with a table next to the windows, so it was fairly quiet. The food was good in general with a few outstanding items like the crispy crab rolls & the crispy chicken wings.
The service was ok as the server did not come often to the front of the dining room where we were seated…
I recommend their crab rolls for a starter & their pho soup.
Never been disappointed.
Very nice staff.
Lets start with the good stuff. I like the crab imperial roll. The wrapper is crunchy & the mouthfeel is great. The taste is great too. Something new but overall great. The vibe is also good. I like the addition of the basket tray. It adds to the Vietnamese vibe of the restaurant. The food that we got is alright in my opinion. A little too expensive for what I got. I'm talking about the Pho that I got. The portion is small considering it's a $20 dish. The flavor of the soup is average. I had better one's that has larger portion & great tasting broth. Another one is the Grilled dish. Again a little too expensive for the small portion that we got. Overall I'd give it a 3 star since it fed us nicely but overpriced.
Their food taste good that's why once in a while I will still order from them even though it's a bit pricy on the delivery app.
However, today was a little disappointed for me. When I received the delivery, the sauce lid already shrunk & the sauce was leaking through the bag. I assumed it was overheated as the plastic lid was twisted & shrunk in a weird way. Despite that, I don't mind it & still enjoyed the delicious rice roll & grilled pork. However, half way eating the rice roll, there's another small broken plastic lid that I was pulling out of my mouth as it's wrapped inside the rice roll, & the plastic looked slightly melted too. Not sure how much plastics were leaked into my food but this is definitely not a good experience for me but I understand this could be once in a blue moon mistake.
