Best viet restaurant I've been so far ! Felt very authentic & food was amazinggg!! I rly liked the steamed rice rolls (bc3) & the grilled beef wrapped in betel leaves (t6). The beef stew in red wine pho (p2) was also delishh 😋
The service was surprisingly fast for a friday packed restaurant! The food was okay for the most of it.. might be a little pricey as there is plenty of options for vietnamese cuisine in our beautiful city tho! So to give you an idea we had 3 appetizers: spring rolls, tum yun soup, & shrimp crispy donut & 5 mains: bun cuon mixed, bun cha, loc lac beef, trio grilled with rice, & crispy noodle mixed for a total of 200$ included tips!

Their food taste good that's why once in a while I will still order from them even though it's a bit pricy on the delivery app.
However, today was a little disappointed for me. When I received the delivery, the sauce lid already shrunk & the sauce was leaking through the bag. I assumed it was overheated as the plastic lid was twisted & shrunk in a weird way. Despite that, I don't mind it & still enjoyed the delicious rice roll & grilled pork. However, half way eating the rice roll, there's another small broken plastic lid that I was pulling out of my mouth as it's wrapped inside the rice roll, & the plastic looked slightly melted too. Not sure how much plastics were leaked into my food but this is definitely not a good experience for me but I understand this could be once in a blue moon mistake.
We recently visited T'ami Vietnamese Restaurant in Montreal, & it was the perfect prelude to our upcoming Vietnamese honeymoon. The food felt wholesome, comforting, & beautifully prepared just the kind of cooking that makes you feel taken care of.
We started with the bánh cu?n (steamed rice rolls). The delicate rice sheets were silky & light, topped with crispy shallots for just the right crunch. Paired with tender grilled meat, slices of pork sausage, & fresh herbs, it all came together with a dipping sauce that was both savory & slightly sweet balanced & addictive.
The bánh xèo (Vietnamese sizzling pancake) was another highlight. Golden, crisp on the outside, yet soft inside, it was generously filled & paired with fresh lettuce, herbs, & bean sprouts. Wrapping each bite & dipping it in the light fish sauce made every mouthful exciting & refreshing.
We also tried the pad thai while a Thai classic, it was prepared with a Vietnamese touch here. The noodles had a lovely chew, the sauce was tangy with just the right hint of sweetness, & the crunch of peanuts on top tied it all together.
Overall, T'ami gave us a beautiful glimpse into the warmth of Vietnamese cuisine. Each dish felt carefully made, with flavors that were vibrant yet comforting. It truly set the mood for our upcoming travels we left feeling satisfied, happy, & even more excited to experience Vietnam soon.
When to this place a few times. If you're in a hurry, don't go there. I been here at least 3 times, average waiting time was around 30min before getting your meals. Worst wait was a hour, I went around diner time. I specially like the Bun Cha Hanoi. We also try the Bo la lot, they didn't give us proper rice paper the first time, they seem surprise when we ask for that.
There's some other nice unique dish here that you won't find elsewhere. The Bun Cha Hanoi for example has a different flavour when you try it here.
Service is slow, it likes a mom/pop shop that doesn't have enough staff as they rely on family.
What a wonderful dining experience! Went mid-afternoon to finally test their famous dishes & were not disappointed. Beautiful decor, great service, & unique & authentic Vietnamese cuisine.
Definitely more than the usual pho & grill places. It was our first, but definitely not our last, time
Had :
- Bánh Tôm Hà N?i (crispy shrimp & sweet potato fritters, served with dipping sauce & a small salad, & even a pair of scissors for easy sharing
- Bánh Cu?n Mixed (fantastic platter of steamed rice rolls full of ground pork, shallots, & wood ear mushrooms, slices of Vietnamese sausage, grilled BBQ pork, & meatballs in a warm dipping sauce)
- Kem Xôi Lá Dúa (exquisite pandan sticky rice
& ice cream dessert)
We ordered in & started with the wonton soup, which was absolutely delicious & easily my favorite part of the meal. My husband really enjoyed it too. He also had the vegetarian imperial rolls & was a big fan.
We shared the Banh Hoi Thit Nuong (grilled pork), a go-to for me when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, & the grilled beef with rice. Both meats had a nice grilled char flavor that we appreciated.
That said, I was expecting a little more overall based on the reviews & photos. It also felt a little overpriced for what it was. Still, everything was pretty good. We'd definitely order the soup again, possibly even visit in person just for that.

While some parts of the experience were good, the overall experience was a bit of a letdown. They mixed up our rice & noodle dishes, tried to serve dessert twice before we finished our mains, forgot the tea & coffee we ordered, & I found a hair in one of our spring rolls. Taste of the food was fine but certainly unexceptional. For two people at +$100 it left a little something to be desired.
Very special Vietnamese restaurant. They have much more traditional dishes than pho! Of course pho is delicious while we were so impressed by the rice roll with pork & fish soup combo! It's so satisfying to go with the rice! Yummy!
Many Vietnamese restaurants are similar, but this one is a little bit different. They have Vietnamese rice rolls! This is a traditional delicacy in Hanoi. The soft & chewy rice rolls are filled with fragrant black fungus, mushrooms & minced pork. Plus some fried onions & then dip them in diluted fish sauce. The originally dry rice rolls become moist & add a hint of flavor. This item is only available on the menu from Friday to Sunday!

This is the only restaurant we know that offers combo Canh Chua & Ca Kho & it's amazing. It takes a while for it to be prepared so order this first, but worth waiting for it. The sticky rice ice cream is a must! We look forward to coming back again.
Tami's story is as authentic as its dishes. The founder explored Vietnam, tasting & perfecting recipes to bring the essence of the country's cuisine right here to Montreal. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, rich in taste, & felt like a comforting, home-cooked meal. The customer service was unmatched. They even offered me a cup of hot water to warm up & checked if I needed the heating adjusted. After our meal, they made sure we loved our experience & welcomed any feedback. It's clear that customer satisfaction is at the heart of Tami. So if you're craving authentic Vietnamese cuisine with impeccable service, Tami Restaurant should be at the top of your list. Meals we had: - 🍤 8. Banh Tôm Ha Nai (2) - Hanoi style crispy shrimps pasty - 🍜 53: BÚN BÒ HUẾ (spicy)Hue Spicy Beef Noodle Soup - 🐟 59. Combo canh áa cá (combo) Combo Sweet & Sour Soup with Fish, & Caramelized Fish served with rice for 2 people - 🥩 31. Bò nướng - Grilled Beef

I am Vietnamese living in Canada, today I had a wonderful first experience at the Vietnamese restaurant - T'ami. I accidentally learned about this Vietnamese restaurant through the Facebook of Ms. Tam, the restaurant owner, even though we were not Facebook friends before. After reading a few of her good articles about the restaurant, I was curious to try it. Because I think that people who write well can cook well 😂 & indeed Ms. Tam did not disappoint me with the dishes she cooked. I ordered Bun Dau Mam Tom & my friend ate Banh Hoi Thit Nuong. Wow. I can't describe it, the taste is 95% similar to the same dish sold in Vietnam. You know, the ingredients for Vietnamese dishes are not easy to find in Canada. So people often have to choose similar ingredients. Especially the noodles here, Ms. Tam made 100% similar to those in Vietnam. For dessert, I chose fried banana cake. It was very fragrant & delicious. Next time I will try rice rolls, crab spring rolls, shrimp cakes.... One thing that makes me want to write a review right away is that Ms. Tam is very cute when serving customers. She is very gentle, thoughtful & enthusiastic. So I am very satisfied & asked for permission to take a photo with her. Thank you Ms. Tam & T'ami for giving me emotional experiences with delicious Vietnamese food.❤️❤️❤️
Coming from a 5 hours drive from NY. It was our first time at T'ami, what a wonderful first impression from the well decorated atmosphere to the well flavor foods. My favorite was Bun Dậu mắm tôm, it came with enough toppings, the sauce was just right ( not too salty or sweet) the only thing that I'm not use to is not having the rice paper( bánh tráng) . I usually eat this with rice paper in the past but they give us plenty of vegetables so it's a plus. Café sữa dá was fantastic, Nem cua be was delicious & well flavored. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Montreal. Plus the owner & staffs were super nice & friendly 😍. We will definitely come back when we're in Montreal next time. Highly recommended.
Perfect group meal family style--get nem ran cua be (so crispy). They also have a weekend menu special featuring banh cuon (so shiny, glossy, & high meat:rice ratio). I'd bring my Vietnamese parents here without reservation
We came here tonight to have dinner & surprised by both the good & bad : 1.) Tom Yum soup had thick cuts of zucchini , red & green peppers & very small pieces of shrimp. Not great quality of ingredients or flavor . Didn't taste authentic 2.) ginger chicken rice with thick uneven cuts of veggies came out so soupy 3.) they brought out our food at separate times , we waited for 15-30 mins for my order . By the time my dish came out, my husbands food got cold & soggy 4.) spring rolls were great 5.) bun cha was great 6.) staff were apologetic about the bad service & provided a 15% discount on a dish.... We won't be back
I honestly wanted to love this restaurant. There was absolutely no service & it took 1h to get out food. They didn't even bring us all our dishes at the same time. I had to ask numerous times for water & a bottle opener. Food was just OK - Nothing to write home about. We ordered the calamari with rice, banh hoi thit nuong, hu tieu & bun cha hanoi. No one ever came to see us to ask us if everything was ok. Willing to give it another try, on a less busy night.
