What an incredible dining experience! From the moment we walked in, it was clear this place is something special. Joe runs a tight ship as manager - the whole operation felt seamless & welcoming from start to finish.
Our servers Juwon & Jiayin were absolutely fantastic. Attentive, knowledgeable, & genuinely warm - they made the whole evening feel personal. Lucas at the bar was equally impressive, crafting drinks that perfectly complemented the meal.
& the food? The sushi & BBQ were out of this world. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented, & packed with flavor. The combination of sushi & BBQ might sound unexpected, but this place pulls it off flawlessly.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable night out. We'll definitely be back!
We went on a Saturday, we did not have a reservation around 5:30 we put out names on the waiting list & by 7:30 we got our place.
The place is absolutely beautiful no doubt in that, the staff are very friendly & helpful.
The menu itself for a Saturday dinner it's very small menu & doesn't have the same amount of options you see at other buffets for dinner. With tips & tax bill came up to almost 67$ way more expensive than the others almost by an extra 12$ to 15$.
The food itself was amazing the rolls were fresh, & not fishy. The turn offs are the skewers all came cold not even warm cold the teriyaki came cold as well not sure if that's what they were aiming for but even when I pointed it out it wasn't replaced by hot ones, another thing is the grilled octopus the first order tasted amazing even though it was cold still tasted good, now the second time we ordered it tasted really bad we spat it out could swallow it.
The desserts were really good the fried banana was sooooooo good.
Would I go again? Honestly no, not going to pay 67$ every time I go just for show where I can pay way less for much more food verity & much more flavour impact.
67 $ seems very inexpensive for any restaurant on Crescent street. I would expect a minimum of 150 $. If you can not afford one of the best restaurants in a city known worldwide for its' excellence in cuisine, you should stay home to eat or go to a fastfood chain because this place clearly is no meant for you.
The place looks nice. It's not for everyone. It's a cheap all you can eat. If you are coming for junk food. Fried stuff covered in sauce & you are not too picky on freshness you may find your fill for about 50$+drinks. If you are looking for sushi this is not the place. The fish in as not fresh we got diarrhea the next day. We came back home hungry since it is served one piece at a time with a 15 minute intervals between each bite. About half of what we ordered never arrived at the table. We ended up giving up on receiving the last part of the meal as we were tired of waiting. Not worth the hype. If you want sushi go to a real sushi restaurant. If you are coming for the sitting in a place with projections then ok. Note there is no alcohol as of mid April.
I recommend Miss Everen for her excellent service to our table very accommodating happy kind & for her helpful service. & the food is very fresh & good taste.
We went yesterday for my stepdad's birthday & were presently surprised. The decor was amazing. It was very immersive & intimate & we were captivated by the projections on the walls & floors. It is a visually stunning place.
When it came to the food, we usually go to other AYCE sushi places nearby, & our favorite before was Manga Sushi, but Taiyo was just so much better! All of the food was extremely flavourful & fresh. Not a single item wasn't fresh. We very much enjoyed everything that we ordered.
Our only slight complaint was the time that it took to make the sushi rolls we ordered. We ordered some & they showed up 20-30 minutes later, but we get that they're in their'soft opening' as mentioned when walking in, so we expected some slight delays.
Our waitress, Rochelle/Rachelle was an absolute sweetheart & was very helpful in explaining how things worked & in refilling our water regularly & in clearing our plates promptly. We will definitely be returning!
Very good sushi & great service. Fresh & excellent sushi. The only thing is that the service is really slow. It could be very long before you receive your order. But it is definitivly worth it, when you go there expect it would take the full time. The decors is also very nice & fun & employees are respectful & offer great service.
We've had great experiences at Tayio Brossard, but this location was disappointing. The staff were very nice & welcoming, but unfortunately the kitchen quality was not comparable.
BBQ meats were good, but the sushi was not. Orders arrived late & incomplete, & some fish did not seem fresh (smelled as old fish). Staff kindly apologized & mentioned management issues, but overall the experience did not meet expectations as it is a branch of an already known restaurant.
Really liked the vibe here. The food was fresh & tasted great. Cathy offered us amazing service & she was super nice & attentive. Mia's signature drinks were very delicious & beautiful. Would definitely come back! I'd definitely recommend this place!👍👍👍
We discovered this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat downtown & decided to give it a try. The food was really fresh & savory. It had a futuristic atmosphere with robots & little trains serving you the food. The service was really good, our bbq wasn't working & they were extremely attentive & changed us tables, & even gave us a discount for the inconvenience. Would definitely come back with friends!
