Tacos Don Rigo was a good experience.
The food itself was okay, but I do think that I might've gotten the wrong taco. I originally asked for the original birria taco, but mine came with a cheesier shell. This made it quite heavy, & I struggled to finish my second taco.
The atmosphere itself was fun. Very fitting for a taco place. The service was pretty standard, friendly, & answered any questions we had.
Overall, it was okay. However, I wouldn't come back unless my friends wanted to try other flavors.View more

Je ne connaissais pas cet établissement. J'ai lu quelques avis & la très grande majorité étaient très élogieux. J'ai été souper à cet endroit & j'en fut ravis. Les mets sont excellents, l'atmosphère est à la fête, & le personnel sont accueillants & efficace. Sans parlé du propriétaire qui est super sympathique. Je recommande.View more

Don Rigo makes all his food with the same degree of love & care your mother would when making a home-cooked meal from your childhood. Any pictures I'd show here just wouldn't do the food the justice it deserves. Yes, MUCH better photos by other reviewers show you the food really *IS* as *delicious* as it looks! We ordered the quesa birria. The 3 tacos were filling & delicious,came with a side of nachos. The broth was very flavorful. They make their own hot sauces, which we loved. We didn't order any alcoholic drinks but we regretted it because they looked amazing. Also the horchata was very sweet & less your typical kind. But definitely will be back to try more things on their menu. But it seems from the tables around us that the quesa birria is the most popular. Seating can be tight if busy. We came in time before the rush. Very nicely decorated & ambience is nice with spanish music playing.
Update: they have made the insides more roomy which is great. But I can't justify paying $18 + tax for a burrito. Which is mainly rice & toppings with a small amount of meat. $20 for one burrito with a side of literally 6 nacho chips is a little crazy. Sorry!View more

Fantastic but crowded'mariachi kitsch' gem tucked off St.Jean in a strip mall. The food & corner bar are more authentic & better value than Escondite, my previous favourite taqueria! The equestrian saddle chairs along the counter are a unique touch.View more
