We ordered the quesa birria. The 3 tacos were filling & delicious, came with a side of nachos. The broth was very flavorful. They make their own hot sauces, which we loved. We didn't order any alcoholic drinks but we regretted it because they looked amazing. Also the horchata was very sweet & less your typical kind. But definitely will be back to try more things on their menu. But it seems from the tables around us that the quesa birria is the most popular. Seating can be tight if busy. We came in time before the rush. Very nicely decorated & ambience is nice with spanish music playing.
Update: they have made the insides more roomy which is great. But I can't justify paying $18 + tax for a burrito. Which is mainly rice & toppings with a small amount of meat. $20 for one burrito with a side of literally 6 nacho chips is a little crazy. Sorry!View more
I felt like I was in Cancun, Mexico. Wild atmosphere & fun. Lots of energy, fun staff, quick tasty food.
Beef Burritos now super amazing to my liking as once upon a time was too salty - but now they fixed the recipe & I had the best mind blowing Burritos in decades with so many condiment options you have to try it out. They won't disappoint you. Food is amazing, so many juices, drinks, & knick knacks. They are so friendly & helpful - high energy & super cool place to visit. Iconic & a Montreal landmark. You have to check it out.View more
Absolutely incredible Tacos & Burritos. I used to go to Quesada on St-Jean every week before I found out about this place but I don't anymore, this place is the real deal, I've been going every week now for over 3 months. Authentic mom & pop Mexican food. The ambience is stunning, just look at the pictures. They have a great variety of burrito toppings to chose from, stuff I've never seen in regular chains like cactus & whatnot. Their chorizo is simply incredible. I saw a comment that they don't toast the burrito making it leaks all over the place, & it's true BUT once Marianna offered to have it toasted & it stopped the leaking. So they don't do this systematically, I think you can ask for it. They're a bit expensive but hey, I prefer giving a bit of extra money to this awesome place than to a faceless burrito chain. I highly recommend this Mexican joint.View more
Le burrito était 3 en 1 vraiment bon. Les margaritas sont trop bon & les prix sont très abordable!View more
Food is fine. The options is really where it's good. You have a multitude of choice. I just can't get over the fact that it costs 50$ for 2 burritos & 2 drinks. 60 with a tip. Also service was pretty slow but that's ok, what bothered me the most is how backwards the line to order pay & then choose the toppings is.View more
Vraiment un must try si vous passez par le West Island. Nous avons mangé les tacos & burrito en combo. Telllllllllement bon, goûteux, plein de saveur. Grosse portion. L'endroit a vraiment un bon vibe. Personnel super sympathique. Hâte de revenir.View more
Visiting home from the USA & this was the first real good Mexican food in Montreal! Burritos, quesdillas, tacos were delicious. Very friendly service. Spicy salsa was very tasty. ThanksView more
What an absolute gem! Some of the best Mexican food I've ever had on the island. I had never heard of this place before this past weekend. I had a car full of hungry kids & we just searched "west island restaurants" hoping for a quick bite. We went in with zero expectations. The décor is amazing, with walls full of memorabilia & quirky decorations. The whole place has a comfortable, lived-in, cluttercore sort of vibe & personally I am here for it. It's unpretentious & welcoming right away. The food is outstanding, with a great variety of Mexican staples at very reasonable prices. Our family of four were able to eat our fill of mouthwatering tacos & burritos, made with fresh ingredients, for roughly the same amount I would have spent for drive-thru burgers. If you like Mexican food & enjoy a casual, family-friendly vibe, you need to check this place out ASAP.View more
Great ambiance, felt authentic, very tasty, I left it up to the gentleman at the cash to decide for me, had a burrito that must've weighed 3lbs & tacos it was great!!! Thank youView more
Best tacos & burritos in Montreal with great service!View more
Ordered to go some quesedillas & burritos. The taste, texture, flavor & overall quality were beyond any other Mexican restaurant in the west island. Very authentic with home made nacho chips, salsas, etc. Looking forward to eating at this place as it just looks amazing & original compared to many dry restaurants.View more
The food tasted great but I have never been to a place where you need to pay per topping to add toppings to your tacos, like tomotoes salsa, jalapeños etc. you get to dress your burrito the way you want & it’s all included but for the tacos you have to pay extra & the cashier did not inform me of that!View more
Great place & definitely worth it. It got more expensive since they have opened & their horchata is sweeter than before. However the food is excellent & you have plenty of choices. The birria tacos are excellent & the tortilla stays crunchy even though you dip it in the consomme. You can also add your toppings when ordering a burrito or a torta & they are big. I recommend this place, a must to try!View more
