I got excited when I first got in the restaurant because I thought that I would live a very authentic Mexican experience but unfortunately it didn't meet my expectations, the music was very loud, the service wasn't the best but okay I guess. Although it's a restaurant, the lights inside looks like it's a club which was very annoying. The food was WAY overpriced, the portion is small & the taste isn't that good. The tacos barely had any meat & it was tasteless. Been to different commercial Mexican Restaurants they were much better than this one which I thought it would be the opposite.

Very overpriced & underwhelming! food was average at best…stale tortillas were served with the guacamole when you would think they are freshly fried like majority of the Mexican restaurants in the city…drinks were good & the vibe matched but for the price I could have been at a five star restaurant & that was not the caseVoir plus

Our new favorite place! Price is great, very cute decoration. The tortillas are so fresh & don't taste like a lot of the chemical tasting ones you find in other places in Montreal. They are a Mexican brand. Will definitely keep coming back here whenever we have a craving! The menu at this place is the real deal. It's not the most elevated style of mexican cuisine but it's got to most varied mexican menu I've seen in Montréal. Usually all you find on mexican menus here is tacos & burritos but this place has a lot of options; tortas, birria, cochinita pibil served the Yucatan way, chilaquiles, sopas, etc. It kind of reminded me of the cantinas of Mexico city where you can get just about anything from anywhere in Mexico. We ordered take out & I can't wait to visit in person & try their drinks as well. I don't usually leave reviews but this restaurant brought me back to a place that's very close to my heart. We loved the food, really authentic Mexican food. We had the Aztec soup that was super good delicious flavor & texture. Tlacoyos, soo good they were 3 in the plate. The sauce very tasty & the guacamole just perfect. Then we had fried seafood tacos, it's a combination of fish & shrimp. Delicious. We has a Michelada it was perfect. Ans we ended with delicious churros, crispier & fresh ones. The service incredible, very helpful to explain & kind people. You want to come back to try all the other plates. This gem of a Mexican restaurant has already proven in its short time in the neighbourhood that it's a great establishment with plenty of delicious options & a great vibe. It's like an all-inclusive meets a Mom & Pop restaurant meets a salsa club all in one. Their food has gotten even better since my first visit (birria tacos & beef tacos are to die for) & their nachos with beef are so delicious (although the 2nd time I had them I felt there was less beef than the first time & more beans, but I'll try it again before I pass judgment). 10/10 for the food, beer towers & comically large margaritas & they have AMAZING churros.Voir plus

So happy to have an authentic mexican restaurant on Monk! The people that work there are very kind. The food is delicious & I am excited to go back!
