I've visited this restaurant many times, especially on weekends, & the difference in service between Saturdays & Sundays is surprising. The young hostess with glasses who works Saturdays repeatedly tells me booths are reserved-even when I have a reservation-but then the booths stay empty the whole shift... She often refuses to seat two people at booths, & makes people switch tables halfway through an order, once forcing us (2 people) to sit at half a makeshift cramped table next to a very noisy & loud group. This happened when the restaurant was only half full. In contrast, the Sunday hostess is far more accommodating, always giving us comfortable seating (either a booth or a quiet table) & clearly explaining how to order instead of being like the other waitress who slaps the QR receipt on the table & walks away. I recommend visiting on Sundays for a better experience. The food is decent though.Voir plus
I have gone there 6 times in less than 2 months & spent over $250 ea visit. The sushi is amazing, variety is great, & each bite is an adventure. The experience is overshadowed, every time, by the terrible attitude of the young girl at reception girl with glasses. She is unable to adequately assess & assign proper seating to ANYONE. She ALWAYS tries to squeeze uncomfortably many people into the small 4 people booths. When asked to be placed in a proper setting, she gives attitude & mocks the table & clients with her colleagues, to the point of discomfort throughout the meal. Only to be imposed a 15% tip, despite her disrespecting people prior to the beginning of the meal & the entire meal. She & her colleagues make clients feel uneasy & wondering,'did they spit in my food'. On my 6 visits, she had to reseat as many as 4 tables for the same reasons each time. I, myself, complained 6 times for the same, to no avail. My last visit, I not only accepted the 15% tip, I paid more, 22%, to give myself the right to speak my mind to an undeserving waitress that was sent as bait to deliver the bill. Let's see if that antisocial behavior keeps happening or will she learn some well needed social skills before she gets a taste of her own medicine on the next visit & asked to pay the clients for improper service. It's employees like this that kill a good business !

We got a nice experience in this restaurant. People were nice & the food was deliciousVoir plus
We tried this AYCE after hearing about it through other friends. We waited at the door for 10 mins before anyone even saw us & sat us down even tho there were multiple tables empty. It wasn't as good as we thought it would be. Some of the sushi's were just not good tbh & we weren't too impressed with the options of sushi's either. We ordered soups that were actually cold. The dinner menu is better than some other AYCE but if you're going to specifically for sushi I don't know about that. I wouldn't go back again honestly because I've had much better AYCE. The price is fair. We had to constantly call back one of our waiter for multiple things that he would forget.Voir plus
Absolutely delicious, freshly prepared & at your table in the blink of an eye. The custard pastries are the best, though unfortunately they don't make the beef teriyaki the way they used to. Still great, though!Voir plus
Great food, very fast service, everything was fresh & the place seems to be busy, somewhat difficult to find parking, & I will be back for more soon!Voir plus
This place is a gem, I have been to many sushi places in Montréal & I can say for sure that my experience there surpassed all the places I have been.
Service was incredibly fast, I was surprised .
Overall, I had a great time .Voir plus
For an all you can eat sushi, the sushi & price is fair. The sushi is served pretty fast when you first order but they do take a long time to bring the rest. The plates were dirty & the way they serve the ice cream is terrible, they bring all ice cream flavors in one big bowl & you have to serve yourself. The spoons took a while to get so the ice cream was a bit melted by the time we each got our piece. The servers were friendly but I think the time & day we went was too busy & the service was not good.Voir plus
Best sushi in Canada thank you very much Best placeVoir plus
Taketa has a good reputation in the west Island & I have been before. This time, kitchen food felt it was sitting on the counter for 30min. Sashimi was cut like they were feeding a dog. Waiter was rude. I arrived at 9pm. They told me to sit down without telling me last call was 15min after. It felt like a scam. They should have mentioned it. I had a stomach headache after as well…Voir plus
A good spot for all-you-can-eat Sushi, great variety of Sashimi, Nigri & Maki. The oriental cuisine is very delicious. Saumon teriyaki is a must try. The service was good.Voir plus
Haven't been to a sushi place in Montreal in a while. Overall the food was good for an all you can eat place & service was fast. Maybe it's because I haven't been in a while but the price was a bit steep (109 for two with a drink & service charge included). Otherwise, good spot to eat. Parking was a pain but can't fault them for that one.Voir plus
