The sushi was meticulously prepared, with perfectly cooked rice, fresh seafood, & no fishy smell. The dish was beautifully presented, making it worth returning for more.
I was very impressed with the quality of the sushi. The fish was fresh, the ingredients were high-quality, & everything tasted delicious. The rice had the perfect texture & complemented the seafood beautifully. Each dish was presented with great attention to detail, making it look as good as it tasted. The service was warm & professional. I look forward to coming back soon.
A truly memorable meal with fresh, high-quality sushi. The flavors were well-balanced, the soft, chewy rice perfectly complemented the seafood. The extensive menu offered plenty of choices to suit every taste. The service was professional & the atmosphere was cozy. I would recommend this to my friends & family.
I visited this restaurant on a friend's recommendation & was truly satisfied. The sushi was fresh, the rice was perfectly soft, & the toppings were quite generous. The food was served quickly & still retained its freshness. The space was clean, airy, & the service was very polite. This is a place I will definitely return to in the near future.
What sets Sushi Rosa apart is its sushi rice (Shari). The rice is soft, fragrant, & each grain is separate, not mushy or sticky. The sweet & sour flavor from the vinegar dressing is very refreshing & appetizing. I ordered the flame-seared salmon with cheese sauce & the crispy fried salmon skin maki. The rolls are incredibly well-rolled, & the sauce is rich & creamy but doesn't overpower the natural sweetness of the seafood inside. I highly recommend trying their signature sushi rolls.
The food at Sushi Rosa truly surprised me with its quality. The sashimi was cut into thick slices, & you could clearly feel the richness & natural sweetness of the fresh fish without it being mushy. The sushi rice was chewy, with a light vinegary aroma, & perfectly seasoned. A big plus is the diverse menu; the set boat looked incredibly generous & appealing.
While wandering downtown we were craving sushi & Rosa sushi was the first restaurant that came up when looking. How happy am I that I took a chance on this place! It's a little unassuming when you first sit down but honestly the quality of sushi was the same as some VERY expensive sushi restaurants I've tried. The rolls were stuffed with massive pieces of fish, not too much rice, so you could immediately taste the quality. We left eating so much & we still felt light & not super heavy. We were hungry when we ordered so we ordered way too much but I did not have one roll I didn't VERY MUCH enjoy. They were all so yummy & I had like 6 different rolls. Maybe more. The owner was so beyond sweet, she offered to comp any rolls I didn't like, but honestly there wasn't one I didn't like in the slightest. The workers were incredibly hard working. The restaurant was packed for a Tuesday evening & we were still looked after very well. I will definitely return & would recommend to others. Take a shot on this place you won't regret it!!
This was an interesting little place. The seats were uncomfortable, you had to write your order number on a scrap of paper, which was odd, but somehow liberating, & while they brought water, there was never anything else offered. The dish was brought out with whole flower heads cut & placed on the food artistically, which isn't bad, but the flowers stained the rice purple where they touched. No ill effects so that's good. Some of the rolls were also somewhat flimsy - not enough rice or seaweed holding them together, maybe. That said, the food was exquisite! The price was also reasonable, considering the quality of the food! Recommend trying it when you're in Montreal.
The sushi here is presented with exquisite detail, looking like a work of art on the plate. The chef's cuts are very precise, the ratio of fish to rice is perfect, & there isn't too much starch.
I was particularly impressed with the eel nigiri; the sauce was rich & the charcoal-grilled aroma was very distinctive.
The restaurant's ambiance is distinctly Japanese, creating a warm & elegant atmosphere.
