My favorite Sushi spot. There are some very good ones in Montreal but Hidden Fish has an interesting creative aspect that does not go over the top. Good selection of fish species. Great Saki selection some nice Japanese beers. Great for a pregame meal if you are going to a hockey & do not want to eat the overpriced gruel they serve at the Bell center. Very pleasant staff, nice ambiance & groovy music.View more

Hidden Fish is my all time favourite sushi restaurant in Montreal! I’ve tried so many places & none compare in the slightest. The sushi is ALWAYS fresh & the taste is unreal. I’ve never tried a bad roll of sushi, no matter what I get. The service is always amazing, & the atmosphere is just beautiful & peaceful. I cannot begin to tell you how amazing the food was, it ruined a lot of sushi places for us & the service was impeccable. Wilson, our waiter, knew what he was talking about. He recommended us a saké that pairs well with what we ordered as sushi & let me tell you, he did not disappoint at all. He was well versed & great at explaining what the dish was. I highly recommend having him as your waiter, if ever you decide to go there. The staff was great! The experience overall was amazing.

My experience at this sushi restaurant was highly disappointing. From the moment we sat down, we felt pressured to rush our order, even though we wanted to take our time & enjoy the dining experience. What baffled me even more was when I inquired about keeping the menu to possibly order more later, I was told that they were concerned about people getting water on it & would have to print another one (despite patrons spending significant amounts of money here).
The quality of the food was equally disappointing. The tuna we were served had an overwhelmingly fishy taste, rendering the rolls inedible. When we brought this issue to the waiter's attention, the manager's response was disheartening. Instead of addressing our concerns, we were told that everyone else seemed to be enjoying it that night, & we were left with no option but to tough it out.
Overall, this dining experience left a lot to be desired. The rushed service, unwillingness to accommodate a simple menu request, & the poor quality of the food, along with the dismissive attitude from the manager, made it a regrettable visit…View more

Overrated & overpriced.
The sushi rolls are extremely small. I don't mind the price but give me the size that goes with it. My cocktail was 80% ice & 20% drink. I won't go back.
