One of the best breakfast diners in montreal, good food, the best pancakes & great staff & service. Seatings really cozy & comfortable & they always have great music, a little on the pricy side but its soooooo worth. Would highly recommend even if you dont live in the area, hell im from beaconsfield & i go a couple times a month.
Great atmosphere & great service. I can only give 4 stars based on the coffee. It was great. However, as a celiac, this is not a safe establishment to eat. There are no gluten free options safe from cross contamination. The staff was very knowledgeable & very kind to help me find if there was anything that would have been safe to eat, unfortunately after conversation of shared cooking surfaces I concluded to not eat any of the food. I took a chance of ordering a latte. It did not disappoint!

Pancakes: the best pancakes I have ever had! They are fluffy but the way the chefs made it, it's also has a mild crunch on the outside. The toppings & maple syrup is nothing special but the pancake texture made the dish delicious. I would come back just for the pancakes. Croiwich: croissant sandwich containing eggs, lettuce, salad & a spicy mayo. The star of the dish is the homemade peppery sausage pattie, that has a great chewy texture. 15$ for the sandwich is a bit much, given the simple toppings, but it was still good. I asked for a salad on the side of my croiwich, & the staff brought me a very small 1.5 cup of greens with 3 drops of a sour vinaigrette & charged me 7$. The salad as a side didn't exist on the menu but they didn't think of telling me about the price either. Never ask for the salad as & extra at this place. The staff & service was great, it would have been nice for the waitress to let me know that the salad was going to cost me 7$ though (since it wasn't among the extras on the menu). Again, I would come back for the pancakes.
Cute & friendly spot in St Henri. Service is very friendly & attentive. The owner makes sure that patrons are comfortable & being catered for. Waiting time was adequate, we did not have to wait long to be seated nor to be served. The menu is unpretentious & straightforward. We ordered the pancakes, Croiwich, with sides of breakfast potatoes & breakfast sausage. Overall, food is well executed but could have used a bit more seasoning across the board. The Croiwich could have been served with a side for the price charged. The pancakes were fluffy but we found that more syrup was needed. Overall, the service was the highlight of our visit. It really reflected the "sunny" aspect of the diner :)
I live in Montreal & have been looking for a fantastic, quaint, & welcoming place where the food is exceptional. I went to Sunny's Dinette on January 15th & was quite impressed. For delicious breakfast/brunch dishes this diner is the place to go. The staff are wonderful & the place has a cozy feel.
Such a sweet place! Had a breakfast with friends there. The atmosphere is great, very clean & beautiful place. The food was amazing, I had pancakes, & trust me, I've never been excited about pancakes that much! Had the best ones in my life! My friends had avocado toast, mtl bagel & croiwich - all was delicious 😋

L'oeuf est resté trop longtemps sous la chaleur & était comme du rubber. La serveuse ne l'a pas remplacé après avoir demandé, mais quand elle a vu que je ne l'ai pas mangé. For the price, I'd hope for a fresher egg. Service was a bit cold & slow, coffee is good though.
Sunny Dinette, nestled in Montreal's charming southwest neighbourhood, offers a brunch experience that's a delightful fusion of good food, efficient service, & a friendly ambiance. The open kitchen concept adds a layer of excitement as you witness the chefs craft each dish with precision. The menu offers a variety of options. My selections included the Gravlax Benedict, which, while tasty, fell into the realm of the average. The Bread Pudding, reminiscent of French toast, was a comforting sweet treat. However, the star of the show was undeniably the Fried Cauliflower - a dish that elevated my brunch experience to new heights. The cauliflower dish was perfectly spiced & accompanied by a medley of vegetables like Brussels sprouts along side some halloumi cheese. The hummus dressing added a layer of richness that made each bite memorable. Despite the gastronomic triumphs, Sunny Dinette does have its drawbacks. With no reservation system in place, the wait time stretched to 30-40 minutes during my visit. The relatively small size of the establishment also contributed to a slightly cramped feel. However, these inconveniences are easily overshadowed by the overall positive experience. In conclusion, Sunny Dinette earns a solid 4/5 for its ability to deliver a brunch that balances great flavors, friendly service, & a warm atmosphere. All in all, I would recommend this place for brunch in the Montreal southwest area.
Cozy cute brunch spot. Service was friendly & quick, not once did we feel rushed or being kicked out! We ordered the croiwich which was buttery & flaky, came with cheesy eggs & a thick hearty sausage patty. We also ordered the pain perdu sandwich of the day, which was an apple flavored bread with eggs & bacon. All of which was soaked in delicious maple syrup. Prices were decent & good to know you don't have to pay street parking until 1PM on Sunday's!

An amazing local spot! Staff are super friendly & nice. The quality of the brunch is excellent! We were in the mood of eating sweet brunch, so we ordered pancakes & French toast. Both were great! High quality dishes besides a good tasting coffee. We will definitely come back!
