The food was terrible. The espresso tasted like bad breath. The filtered coffee just tasted weak & old.

I got the eggs Benedict boeuf effiloché. The potato's are a JOKE. The whole meal tasted like cafeteria food. The potato's are obviously bought frozen & they taste like they're microwaved. The English muffin is multigrain & bitter. The boeuf effiloché also tasted like it was pulled out of a can. The avocado was also not fresh. Just store bought avocado purée.

They aren't chefs, they're assemblers of Sysco.

The food was so disappointing, we didn't drink the coffees & ate in silence. We were starving. No one finished their plates.

How this place has 4.4 is beyond me

We love this place, ever time we visit Montreal we had to pass by, expect a long wait especially in the weekend, our favorite dishes are the Shakshuka & the sandwich portion is generous 👍

Given the option I would give them 100 stars :)
We were at this place yesterday with our 3 month old baby's first outing. The owner & staff were incredibly generous & kind, they treated us with pancake & coffee on the house. I cant thank them enough for their kindness , it means so much to me.

Went there for brunch on a Saturday. Although the place actually looks welcoming the service & the food are to be desired.
The biggest issue I had is that they mention on the menu that their pancakes are served with maple syrup when they are actually served with corn syrup. I had asked for the maple syrup to be served on the side & when I was about to put some on my son's plate not only was the texture a give-away but the taste as well. I asked the waitress for actual maple syrup, she told me they did not have any & that they served this'pancake' syrup mixed in with some maple syrup. I directed her to the menu which clearly mentions maple syrup. 5 minutes later a man came by with some very golden'maple syrup'. Why advertise the use of it if you won't serve any? It's a bit insulting to clients & where is our Québécois pride in it?
The rest of he food was okay, the matcha latte was very grey & chalky - either it's bad quality or they let their matcha oxydize on the counter.

Sunny's Dinette exceeded my expectations! The food looked amazing & tasted even better. Every plate was beautifully presented, & you could tell everything was prepared with care. The outdoor patio created such a fun atmosphere, especially during the festival. Great food, friendly service, & a wonderful vibe. I'll definitely be back!

Before going back to the airport, we passed by which was close to our accommodation & by chance that there was a festival & the street was closed. I enjoyed the atmosphere & their steak & egg was well done & fulfilled my desires. I will definitely be back when I'm back in Montreal.

Not as good as I expected based on the reviews. We went first thing on a Sunday morning expecting it to be busy. In the hour we were there only one other person came in. I got the Sunny's brunch which comes with beans & pancakes. The beans are chili beans & didn't really work for breakfast. I don't know if they were meant to be hot; they were lukewarm & a little gross. The pancakes are mini, & were tough & dry. The potatoes were boring. Just deep fried potatoes with little to no seasoning. My son really liked the smoothie he got, but it was about $8 for a juice glass size. We go out for breakfast often & had hoped this would be our place to go when going to the market but we will not return.
