The appetizers were amazing & Ramen was good. I got the spicy beef & let's just say it was quite spicy & flavourful. The beef stood out for me as it was well cooked & tender.

Had the Sumo ramen & my partner had the beef ramen. It was delicious! The owner was hospitable, spent time with us, friendly & welcoming. We just stopped in on a whim & it was a delicious meal that warmed us both up on a rainy day vacationing in Montreal 🫶🏽

Stopped in for ramen during our stay in Montreal (my favourite)! Sumo Ramen blew me away. I had a vegetable ramen with miso broth & my fiancé had the spicy beef stew ramen & we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The staff was super kind & let us in last minute for a bite to eat. I10/10 would recommend eating here. Gonna have to convince my fiancé to come back tomorrow!!!

Ramen restaurant in the heart of Montreal's chinatown. The ramen broth was ok, the soup was not as thick as what I'm used to. The noodles were like instant noodles texture. However, the beef was delicious! It wasn't the typical ramen meat but more of a Chinese style. The place felt a bit cramped, also there was no AC.

Feels like a hole in the wall but it's delicious! got the mushroom ramen & my partner got the beef ramen. Loved that the broth & noodles could be customized. They thoughtfully ensured my meal was vegetarian with all ingredients which I appreciated. Absolutely delicious!

Sumo Ramen Located in a hart of Chineese District close to Old Montreal.
A very busy location with fast friendly service.
Ramen can fill you up & warm you in cold wintery days.
Very tasty spicy beef Ramen...
But if they say spicy...it's REALLY spicy!.

Excellent tasty food. I went there with my son to have diner. We had a soup classique with pork & rice noodles, pork & beef dumplings, chicken brochettes. We also had a cheesecake & a fried bun for dessert. We found a very reasonable price for all this tasty amount of food. Pork dumplings were my favourites. My son loved the soup. & the staff is super nice. Highly recommend it.

We ordered sumo ramen 🍜 with pepper soup, the beef stew rice bowl & the egg tofu. The ramen was tasty, the soup was also good (not salty). The beef stew rice bowl was a bit spicy but tasty. Egg tofu was yummy especially when it was still hot (right after they served it!).

The entrance is steeep but the food came out pretty fast around 1pm. The spicy beef had a good amount of beef pieces & the spice definitely had a kick. The miso also had a nice flavor , would recommend for a quick bite.

Had the spicy beef with pepper sauce & udon noodles. The noodles were very tender, but the BEEF. Oh dear Lord the beef was so incredibly tender. Just melted in my mouth. If you don't stop here you are messing up.

Edit: 5 years later... I love the atmosphere, service & still love the food! They added many appetitizers, & have a great variety of ramen. The whole table enjoyed them very much! Best Ramen in town!
Original: Omg!! Had the Sumo Ramen, family had Volcano Ramen, Seafood Ramen, shrimp dumpling, octopus balls & spicy beef stew. It was so delicious!!! Service was fast & friendly. Will definitely come again!! 😍🤗😄
