Toujours agréable de manger en groupe au Steak Frites St-Paul. On était un groupe de 20 personnes pour le dîner & tout c'est super bien déroulé. Bonne bouffe, bon service! On va revenir c'est certain!
My husband & I went on Nov 22, we had the steak frites & everything was perfect. The restaurant was busy & lively (not a quiet place in case you are looking for that). Good food, good prices, we didn't have time to get wine to bring, will do that next time. We would recommend.

Wentcfor dinner on a Friday night. The app we ordered was a little misleading & only came in two pieces for two people which was a little odd but it was very good. Ordered the steak frites & received the wrong sauce for my steak. But the steak was cooked well & it was good tasting.
Lively on a Saturday night. The place was pretty full, mostly larger groups, but still some empty tables. We waited 45 mins for our food & when the server finally brought out one of our entrees, steak fries, she mentioned she hopes we don't mind she's bringing it out before the other dishes, but it was sitting under the lamps & she wanted to get it out. Not what we wanted to hear. The other food ordered was only cesar salad, French onion soup & shrimp bang bang. It shouldn't have taken that long. Cesar salad had no flavour, nothing, no taste at all. It was bizarre. Soup was ok. I had been waiting to try it in Montreal & now wouldn't have it again. Bang bang shrimp was ok. Very small portion, even tho it's an appetizer. Steak frites was ok. Medium rare in middle only but over cooked around all around. I'm a French fry fan, but I have never had fries so horrible in my life. All you can eat fries? No thanks, couldn't even eat the ones on my plate.
Sauce was great with the steak. Steak was perfectly cooked but lacked seasoning . Everything else was ok. Frites were addictive & the beans were good. Nothing special though
La cuisson de notre bavette etait parfaite, la sauce incroyable & les frites parfaite!! Le service était excellent, nous avions seulement 1h pour manger & avions terminé en 45 min. Service rapide :) délicieux
Très agréablement surpris, je n'avais jamais mangé à ce resto & honnêtement wow. Le service était excellent & la nourriture y était tout aussi excellente. Les portions étaient bonnes & j'ai adoré leurs frites. Tout notre groupe a été agréablement surpris par la qualité exceptionnelle du service & de la nourriture. Merci à votre équipe!

We were in the mood for "real" food since we had been eating street food. Were greeted & told they didn't serve alcohol & that we were allowed to bring our own in. We thought that was cool! The food was really good, we had flank steak, steak frites, & ribeye steak.
Hadn't gone to a Steak Frites in a while. Service was excellent, comfortable atmosphere, food was on par, & pricing was as expected. Overall, it was a great experience.

Point #1 THEY DON'T SERVE ALCOHOL SO BRING YOUR OWN!!! Really decent dinner the steak may be under done for your taste I had the steak Frites & that cut off meat needs to be cooked a little more than medium-rare I think. I got the poutine upgrade & expected the steak to be front & center on top of the poutine but they were served separately. It was a business trip dinner so kind of like eating alone as everybody is busy reading email from the day 🤪. But the atmosphere was very bland. Over all of I'm staying in this part of the city again I'll likely try one of the other steak restaurants first better going back.
Chez Steak Frites, nous ne sommes jamais déçus. La bouffe est bonne & chaude. Le service est impeccable. "apportez votre vin" la facture est donc très raisonnable.
Je fréquente le steak frite St-Paul depuis le tout début sur la rue St-Paul dans les années 90. Hier soir, pour la première fois, j'ai été déçu, ma pièce de Filet mignon 6 onces n'était pas aussi délicieuse qu'à l'habitude. C'est comme si le steak était bouilli. De plus, les frites manquaient une ou deux minutes de cuisson.

Frites raides, pas comme avant. Resto du pour être rénové. Déçue de mon assiette macreuse & crevettes...je m'attendais à de grosses crevettes, pas des petites crevettes sur bâtons
Les frites trop sèches, trop de tirailles dans le filet mignon, chaises en metal inconfortables, le tartare de saumon était délicieux & la sauce dijonnaise parfaite & très apprécié les profiteroles.
