Soirée presque parfaite, cuisson du filet mignon excellente, tendre, pas suffisamment de sauce, poisson excellent, choux-fleurs exquis, par contre escargots très moyen....excellent service & ambiance feutrée, belle soirée

My favorite restaurant while visiting Montreal. My filet mignon was excellent & it was served with the most delicious mustard cream herb sauce on the side. We loved that we could bring our own bottle of wine. Our waiter was top notch. Very cool attmosphere with dimmer lighting. Highly recommend!
Le'Steak Frites' était moins tendre que le'Filet Mignon' mais était plus goûteux, ce que j'ai aimé.
La salade César aurait pu être un peu moins crémeuse mais elle était quand même très bonne.
& les frites évidemment, délicieuses, comme d'habitude. Je vais retourner…
This has been on of My favourite place for a filet mignon for almost two decades but it hasn't been the same since the Pandemic … my recent lunch the food took an hour to arrive, my filet mignon ordered medium rare was burnt well done …& dry … we had to ask for bread which has dwindled to a micro roll, & my rushed Macchiato was undrinkable … sadly nothing stays the same …

We went to Steak Frites St-Paul on a Monday after work. It was still early, so the restaurant was quiet & not too busy yet. Our server was very attentive throughout the meal, & the food arrived quickly. Everything was delicious. It would've been nice to have a bit more sauce served with the steak since it was so tasty. The filet mignon was slightly more rare than the medium-rare we requested, but it was still excellent. Overall, a very satisfying experience !
Great place & a great experience at Steak Frites St-Paul. Table reservation was easy. Filet mignon was tender & juicy, taste was out of the world. I truly enjoyed the meal.
The Chateaubriand for 2 that we had our first visit during our stay in Montréal was absolutely delicious. Our server, Max, was very friendly & attentive. He even recognized us our second visit & remembered our drink order! For our second visit, the filet mignon & salmon were delicious & perfectly cooked. Unfortunately, the lobster tail we each had was small, tasteless & mushy. (In retrospect, we probably should have sent back the lobster tails but we didn't want to be the "demanding Americans.") Otherwise, it was a delicious experience.

Je fréquente le steak frite St-Paul depuis le tout début sur la rue St-Paul dans les années 90. Hier soir, pour la première fois, j'ai été déçu, ma pièce de Filet mignon 6 onces n'était pas aussi délicieuse qu'à l'habitude. C'est comme si le steak était bouilli. De plus, les frites manquaient une ou deux minutes de cuisson.

Les frites trop sèches, trop de tirailles dans le filet mignon, chaises en metal inconfortables, le tartare de saumon était délicieux & la sauce dijonnaise parfaite & très apprécié les profiteroles.
Nous sommes retournés chez Steak Frites après plusieurs années & malheureusement l'expérience n'a pas été super. Nous avons eu un service impeccable vraiment mais payer 150$ pour 2 & s'assoir sur des chaises de métal inconfortable nous avons trouvé ça moyen!! De plus, le filet mignon de mon conjoint était médium seulement au tout milieu du centre & trop cuit à l'extérieur. Nous ne retournons plus les assiettes car les autres convives mangent pendant que l'on attend le retour de notre plat. & pour terminer les profiteroles sauce chocolat auraient été meilleurs avec une vrai sauce chocolat plutôt qu'une sauce avec du faux chocolat (la même que chez Giorgio avec leur gâteau roulé). Alors un souper pour notre 41 e anniversaire de mariage décevant au restaurant!! Merci!
