Tonight was my third time at this specific location. The service was excellent. The portions are good. The sauce they serve with the fried calamari tastes cheap (yellow mustard mixed with mayo & mayo+ketchup: not very Greek, if you ask me).
We ordered the half chicken plate. The chicken was quite bland; there were barely any spices or garlic or lemon on the skin.
Their salad dressing is disappointing. It's bland & uninteresting (you don't taste that punch from olive oil, garlic, lemon & oregano you usually find in an authentic Greek dressing).
Their rice is usually good, but tonight, it was bland & more like cafeteria rice.
Finally, during a previous visit, I ordered a chicken souvlaki pita & tonight, I asked some tzatziki on the side & I can say without a doubt that there is something off with their tzatziki. I can't put my finger on it, but it is something I make regularly at home & that I ate at other Greek restaurants & theirs doesn't taste good.
This restaurant has great potential, but you can feel some laziness in the kitchen (or maybe in the administration?) because they tend to cut corners & they don't serve authentic Greek food.
EDIT, MARCH 26, 2026: Lately, I ordered the fillet of sole, a dish I had ordered several times before. They ALWAYS served TWO fillets of sole per plate. This time, though, they put ONLY ONE (probably thinking that their customers wouldn't realize it!). On top of that, instead of the mesclun lettuce they usually serve, they had the nerve to make their salad with ICEBERG lettuce!! That was it, for me. Never again. I will spend my money elsewhere.
Good server the woman was lovely, prices are affordable, calm atmosphere, food was excellent but the gyro were very greasy. the fries are excellent, the salad too. the rice was soso but we can't complain for the amount/price ratio. i recommend the calamari gyro. i also recommend to skip the entrees, they aren't bad just nothing special. they offer alcohol & alcohol free drinks. the lady heard our conversation & knew abt my birthday & surprised us with a free carrot cake with a candle. so sweet of her.
My wife & I were craving Greek food during our visit to Montreal. It's located in a plaza, which turned out to be a win - parking was much easier here than at another spot we had originally considered. We dropped in for lunch, & it wasn't too busy, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. The staffs were incredibly kind & helpful, especially since the menu was in French. They took the time to explain everything & made us feel welcome. When the food arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions - huge plates & everything looked delicious. It was really tasty! We opted one of the plate with no rice & asked for extra salad instead, & even then, the servings were more than enough. The mocktails were also spot on - refreshing & flavorful. All in all, it was a great find & on the list next time we're back in Montreal!
The food is very good! I am not a fan of rice but this rice was very tasty & fries are very good!
