Our experience at Sota BBQ was incredibly disappointing. We were a large group with a reservation, but when we arrived, they sent us to the basement & split us into three separate tables far apart from each other-not ideal for a birthday dinner. To make matters worse, the basement was unbearably hot, leaving everyone sweating like we were in a sauna.
We arrived at 9:30 PM, a full 1.5 hours before closing, but they rushed us to order everything immediately because they claimed the kitchen was closing. For a Korean BBQ, this completely ruins the experience since the whole point is to order gradually as you eat. Instead, we were forced to make a massive order upfront, which was hard to gauge. Naturally, we ended up with too much food, & they quickly informed us we'd have to pay for any leftovers. It honestly felt like a setup to overcharge customers.
On top of that, they didn't bring many of the items we ordered, brought too much of others, & the food quality was mediocre at best. The chicken was questionable-neither looking nor tasting like chicken-& the sushi was on par with gas station sushi. They also never replaced the grill, even when it was full of burnt scraps, which every other Korean BBQ we've been to does automatically.
To make matters worse, they automatically added tips to our bills, which was not only unexpected but also felt inappropriate given the poor service. I'm not even sure if this is legal, but it was definitely not appreciated.
It was absolutely not worth $57. For that price, you'd expect much better food, service, & an overall experience. Instead, it felt like a complete ripoff.Voir plus

Sushi & Grillade BBQ Asiatique tout @ un Resto! Sota BBQ est un bon choix. Ce resto est situe 2 minutes tout pres du metro Guy Concordia. Ce resto offre un menu avec plusieurs choix de viandes marinees, legumes, sushis, des plats cuits ex: des soupes, du riz, des nouilles, des tempuras, etc. De plus, les boissons gazeuses sont tout aussi @ volonte. Je vous conseille fortement d'y aller au moins 4 @ 6 personnes pour pouvoir essayer un peu de tout. Pour un groupe plus de 20 personnes, je vous recommande de parler avec le gerant du resto pour faire une demande pour la salle privee. La salle est situee au sous-sol & elle est tres grande. Best Korean bbq I have in Montreal, super fast service & unlimited soft drinks, Fanta & Canada dry are my favorite, especially the sushi surprised me. I love pork belly & beef rib so much. Highly recommend & 5 stars. The waiters work so hard that they deserve 15% tips.Voir plus

After reading the many negative reviews I was skeptical. Gave it a try anyway. Pros: Insanely quick service. We ordered by phone & items came within the minute at the fastest. Some of the items were pretty good such as the beef steak cuts & salmon pieces, hence we kept going back to them. Drinks are included. You get choices between sprite, ginger ale, coke … which is typically extra cost at separate places. Cons: the soup that was offered only came in small bowls rather than stone bowls as advertised on pictures. There is variety but the sushi has more rice than filling. I would really only stick with the meats & vegetables. Overall the standards for a good BBQ experience was met. I would recommend you give it a try.Voir plus

Délicieux, les viandes sont goûteuses & les sushis frais. Les employés sont très attentifs aux clients. Il peut y avoir du ralentit pour les boissons si c'est plein. Mais sinon, les plats vides sont débarrassés régulièrement & les commandes arrivent rapidement aussi. L'ambiance est plus jeune, c'est un peu bruyant mais on s'entend parler. Nous avons été en groupe & la bouffe est savoureuse & délicieuse à un point tel qu'on y retourne. Les seules déceptions sont que les gros groupe doivent être séparés par table car c'est maximum 8 personnes par table, j'imagine à cause des bbq mais sinon ça Vault le prix & qu'il manquait certains items sur le menu mais ça vaut le détour au centre-ville 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾Voir plus

Worst service ever! We had half of our order right the other half never arrived. Never received water until we asked & never received a tweezers to flip the food on the bbq. We waited 10 min for 2 ice creams that never came we ended up leaving. Service would be rated a zero. DO NOT recommend at all. That was the first & last time in this place.Voir plus

Resto relax, rien d'extraordinaire. J'ai trouvé le BBQ sur table trop petit pour 4 personnes (correct pour 2 personnes à mon avis). Les portions sont raisonnables & le prix aussi. Vers la fin, le BBQ était vraiment sale, collant & dégoutant (pas très appétissant pour la suite de la soirée) & ils ne l'on pas changé.Voir plus

Premier expérience dans un bbq Coréen. 46$ sans le pourboire/personne. Nous y sommes aller un samedi soir en groupe de 4. Il était environ 17h. L'ambiance est du même niveau que la cuisine. Les bancs ne sont pas dutout confortable & préparez vous a y être assis longtemps. Il y a un menu a chaque table & l'on doit inscrire sur le papier le numéro de l'article & la quantité voulu. La façon de faire n'est vraiment pas mauvaise si ca fonctionnait.. Avec le premier papier nous avons eu les plats en triple! Sachant qu'il y a un frais 1$ par items jeté. Nous avons pas retourner les plats car c'étais le premier service & que nous avions faim. Pour les autres services, plusieurs articles était manquant.Voir plus
