Food was mid. Service was even worse. Waiters kept forgetting our ordered items & half the things we ordered we did not receive. Menu states that 15% gratuity is added to parties of 6 or more which is fine, but we had a party of 5. They also have an undisclosed charge when seated in the basement. They do not tell you about this price increase until AFTER you are done your meal. Go here at your own risk!View more

The food was very good, but the service is very unprofessional when paying the bill. My friend & I paid 150$ for both AYCE which costs 53$ (taxes & tips included) which makes it 106$ in total, the waiter returned us only 30$! They were supposed to return 44$ but then I asked them to return the extra 14$ that they forgot & they OFFERED to return 10$! They were like bargaining for a cheaper price, & finally returned the full 44$ after ~10 minutes! It does not take ~10 mins to solve simple maths & it wasted a bunch of time for a scheduled event we were supposed to be going. Our experience at Sota BBQ was incredibly disappointing. We were a large group with a reservation, but when we arrived, they sent us to the basement & split us into three separate tables far apart from each other-not ideal for a birthday dinner. To make matters worse, the basement was unbearably hot, leaving everyone sweating like we were in a sauna.
We arrived at 9:30 PM, a full 1.5 hours before closing, but they rushed us to order everything immediately because they claimed the kitchen was closing. For a Korean BBQ, this completely ruins the experience since the whole point is to order gradually as you eat. Instead, we were forced to make a massive order upfront, which was hard to gauge. Naturally, we ended up with too much food, & they quickly informed us we'd have to pay for any leftovers. It honestly felt like a setup to overcharge customers.
On top of that, they didn't bring many of the items we ordered, brought too much of others, & the food quality was mediocre at best. The chicken was questionable-neither looking nor tasting like chicken-& the sushi was on par with gas station sushi. They also never replaced the grill, even when it was full of burnt scraps, which every other Korean BBQ we've been to does automatically.
To make matters worse, they automatically added tips to our bills, which was not only unexpected but also felt inappropriate given the poor service. I'm not even sure if this is legal, but it was definitely not appreciated.
It was absolutely not worth $57. For that price, you'd expect much better food, service, & an overall experience. Instead, it felt like a complete ripoff.View more

The quality when down. The food is below average. The tempura is not very good. The vegetables are still to raw to eat. The sushi depend on the type can be fishy. The service is not very attentive. When order something is always missing. You would need to call the server to get it. The meat could be better cuts. The price is okay for the experience & food.View more

Other than a few veggies (edamame, green Peppers, Onions, mushrooms, zuchinnis & Pineapple) & maybe 2 hosomakis (cucumber, cucumber/Avocado & tofu nigiri. There's not much options if you're a vegetarian for the price you're paying. It's a good place if you love meat & they have a great selection for that. If you're not difficult & you just want to enjoy a night out with friends & family being a vegetarian, that's what you should expect as a variety. Ps.. There's also kimchi, Miso soup, some type of fried patato hash, vegetable tempura & white rice. Unlimited soft drinks & desserts.View more

I don't think is worth the price. The food is ok, so if you go you might actually enjoy what you eat, but only that. The service is almost non existent, the only time anyone turned to look at us or spoke to us was when we arrived & when they asked for the bill, other than that they barely look at you when taking the order not even imagine to ask if everything is ok. The waiters are always looking everywhere but customers they just take the paper with your order & leave.
Also the environment would be better if the people who go to each table to clean the dirty dishes were not throwing them all the time into the cart, making constantly loud noise next to each table, so you are not very comfortable when eating.
Also with taxes was $45 each + tip, I know is usually the average price for an all-you-can-eat but this place is just not worth it, it was not a pleasant experience & I don't think I'm going to be back & I would not recommend this place tbh, I think you can get something a lot better anywhere else. Very disappointingView more
