Such a disappointment after seeing all the good reviews! My wife & I stopped in for breakfast on our way out of Montreal. There was almost no one else there on a Sunday morning, which should have been a clue. My salami & eggs were fine but under seasoned. I "upgraded" to the potato latkes, which had clearly been reheated & were thus greasy & rubbery instead of crisp. My wife's blintzes were also a weird texture like they weren't fresh. The fruit bowl had some nice fresh berries on top of a bunch of hard, under-ripe melon. I had been hoping for a bustling Jewish deli with tasty food & the smell of smoked meat & fish. Instead, I got a sleepy diner with reheated food & Breton crackers behind the counter.Voir plus

Got a booth in short order for my wife & I. Hart's version of Smoked Meat Platter means the rye bread is served pre-sliced on the side, & you make your own sandwich with as much or as little (but why would you?) meat as you want. The kosher dill & a side of fries is included. Great traditional diner!Voir plus

Really a great experienced marred by overpricing. Two small smoked meat sandwiches, two cokes, two cole slaws & one french fry totalled over $70 with 15% tip & tax! It's just too much for what it is. Great service & tasty food. Sadly, this is a "once in a while" place to visit owing to the inflated prices.Voir plus

Nice Montreal Deli with above average smoked meat & really good fries. Prices are a tad high for the amount of food you get as I wouldn't mind paying it if the sandwiches were a bit larger. Service was good & quick so I'd probably give them another try someday if I ventured into that area of Montreal. 8.4/10Voir plus

We dropped by for lunch before left Montreal. I really wanted to try after I saw it featured on Guy Fieri show Service & food here was on point Smoked meat & corn beef was not too salty & very flavorful Poutine was so good here. Sooo good!!! Picked up 3lbs of meat to bring home & only $60 Definitely coming back next time. 9/10Voir plus

Good service the staff are nice as well , nice diner ambiance & the foods delicious. The fries are superb. Not oily but not overcooked. Great place to get smoked meats & fish! The food was all delicious, & the menu was so large - you can easily get just about anything you're craving, & at a range of price points. They do have more expensive plates but those servings are very generous! It's about as classic of a deli as you can get - cozy & unpretentious, very kind servers, cheap coffee, good food. Literally One (1) of the Best Deli's in North America; holding to the traditions of the brothers who founded it. Smoked Meat unlike what you can find in any other cities spawned the term "Montreal Smoked Meat". Spicier than Pastrami & offered in three (3) different cuts with Lean & Regular most popular. Traditional Sides are offered & for those diners who wish to partake of non-meat products, their assorted salad offerings are served on a platter & are enough for two to share. Snowdon Deli which is situated on Decarie Boulevard is in my opinion is a real old fashioned delicatessen which is very rare in Montreal nowadays. My wife & I needed our smoked meat fix & decided to visit this Montreal institution for a Smoked Meat on rye. The sandwiches that were served were hot, juicy, & absolutely delicious thus satisfying our craving completely. If you are a Smoked Meat addict then this is the perfect place to stop by.Voir plus
