Amazing smoked meat, easily as good or better than Schwartz. But the warm atmosphere & pride of craft is really on display. The deli staff shared stories about the food, & made sure we tried all the best stuff. Get the medium fat sliced hot sandwich of course, but also make sure you get a bag of pastries - especially the Hamantaschen - on your way out.Voir plus

Snowdon Deli is a Jewish deli serving Montréal classics. We came here for brunch during our stay in Canada.
We were keen to try the smoked meat deli sandwich, as we had heard it's one of Montréal's delicacies. We were not disappointed as the sandwich was fulfilling & delicious.

Snowdon Deli remains a staple for those craving classic smoked meat & other satisfying lunch staples. The atmosphere evokes a traditional diner feel - casual, unpretentious, & steeped in local character. The food is consistently well-prepared, delivering on both flavor.
Service is generally courteous & efficient, though it can slow during peak times, particularly on weekends when the restaurant is at capacity. Pricing is on the higher side, & the lack of combo options may leave some patrons wanting more value. Excellent Classic Smoked Meat Sandwich.
Had the smoked meat sandwich'medium' & old-fashioned spiced, just as recommended-absolutely excellent. Tender, juicy, & full of flavour. The fries were tasty too, though most pieces were too short /small for my liking. Still enjoyable. Added a cherry Coke for the full throwback deli experience. All around, a great visit.Voir plus

Went to Schwartz the past 2 times until someone recommended me to Snowdon Deli. I highly rate their smoked meat sandwich. We also had the Snowdon special & coleslaw. Both were good. I'd definitely come here over Schwartz. I got the fatty cut & absolutely no regrets. There was no line. Service was quick & friendly staff. Highly recommend!Voir plus

Went way out of our way to grab a smoked meat sandwich on our last day in Montreal & it was sooo worth it. Not only did they hook us up during breakfast time with a togo sandwich, they told us about the history of the spot & it was probably the warmest welcome we had in all of Canada.

Husband & I were only in Montreal for two days, & most of that time was spent hunting down good food.
Snowdon Deli topped the charts across the board for us on this short weekend break. Great atmosphere, fantastic service, & the food is filling & homey in a way that I think anyone could enjoy.
Not pictured was the chicken soup with matzo ball which we got before the smoked meat sandwich on rye & the smoked meat benny. After that we managed to snag the last bit of coffee cake & a lemon square. Everything was a star in it's own right. It all came out quickly, & was worth every single cent & more.
We haven't tried every food place in the city this weekend, obviously, but I would say that if you're ever around snowdon & you dont come here? Then you're missing out.Voir plus

Je ne comprends pas le buzz. Je ne suis pas fan ou connaisseur de smoked meat mais quand même, la viande n'avait pas tnt de goût ou d'assaisonnements. Les cornichons & les frites étaient bons & croquants! :)

Great spot! My favourite spots are now Katz (NYC), Schwartz & now on 3rd Snowdon Deli! Standing with the greats 💪 our favourite was the Smoked meat sandwich medium. The table next to us ordered sausage appetizers & club roll sandwich! We def getting that. The hot brisket was different & delicious! Try it. This place is 5 stars everytime. Whenever I go to Montreal I make sure to try & stop here. My go to meal is the Brisket in onion gravy. I don't eat onions but I love the flavour of this. Smoked meat is also really good here. The fries are awesome & the house salad dressing is really good. Just a great overall place.Voir plus

Our large group of 10 selected Snowdon as we anticipated it to be much less busy than Schwartz's Deli & we didn't want to wait or stand to eat. We were seated right away & our server was very nice.
What we got:
- Hot brisket sandwich
- Meatballs
- Smoked meat platter (with fries, pickle, & rye)
- Coleslaw
- Sauerkraut
Final Thoughts:
All our sandwiches & platters were delicious! Soft & tender meat on the sandwich & platters, the meatballs were good but a tad sweet. I found the pickles a little too sour, but I really enjoyed the coleslaw. Would recommend checking out this spot next time you're in Montreal & craving a smoked meat sandwich.Voir plus
