Smoke meat was ok, but not cut right. It was cut too thick. A real deli cutter knows how to cut it. Poutine was made with old fries that were soggy. We were disappointed & drove from Ontario for this.View more
When talking about smoked meat sandwiches in Montreal, as I researched, people always recommend Snowdon & Schwartz's. I haven't tried the other one, in my experience in Snowdon, the smoked beef sandwich is definitely top notch. I chose a medium fatty meat which was so tender & juicy with moderate smoky flavor, & I regretted having shared with family Lol. Turkey sandwich is recommended as well, different from our usual turkey ham. Meat balls are great too, just not out of my expectation. Kids love the sauce on meat balls. Others are just average, would not recommend the fries or salad.View more
Bon sandwich smoke meat frite très bonne mais je préfère schwartz désolé... Resto propreté laisse à désireView more
Perfect for a quick, easy meal. Not only is their smoked meat /deli selection delicious, but they have fabulous big breakfasts at very reasonable prices. Omelette with salami, homefries & toast is delicious . Great pancakes as well. Very big variety. Great takeout counter, & the staff is efficient & very friendly.View more
Authentic deli experience every time I visit, no matter how many years go by. Tried the club roll for the first time & while it was fun having so many meats on one sandwich, I would still recommend the original smoked meat if you have never been here before.View more
Very good smoked meat. Staff is very welcoming. Great place for breakfast. Parking can be challenging, but well-worth the walk.View more
On Luke Martin's (Chopsticks Travel channel) recommendation, I decided to give this place a try with my family & wowwwww... it was as good as advertised!!!! Very juicy smoked meat & brisket sandwiches.... the old lady that served us was really friendly too, giving us the background story of the English-speaking Jewish community. The sandwiches were reasonably priced too at $14.50 for sooooooo much meat!! Will definitely go back next time in Montreal!!!View more
Cher & franchement poche. Ambiance déprimante. Si vous pouvez vous déplacer, c'est plus loin mais le roi du smoked meat sur St-Hubert est 1000 fois mieux.View more
View more
Went to Snowdon's .on 10-20-24 at 1300. Line was about 3 minutes. Served a Smoked Meat Platter in less than 5 minutes. Excellent! Perfectly cooked. Made two sandwiches. One of the best in the city.View more
Complètement accro à leur foie haché, leur pain de seigle & leurs oignons frits. Un vrai bonheur!!View more
All I can say is it was overrated. The service was good & I love the old school feel of the place but the smoked meat was bland, the latkes were okay, & the hot brisket was like lunch meat quality & flavorless. Katz in New York is about 100x better than this place & that was disappointing given the reputation.View more
OMG, the hype is real with their smoked meat sandwich. The meat basically melted in your mouth. The poutine was ok. Def will come back for the smoked meat.View more
The smoked meat sandwich was absolutely delicious. I know most everyone thinks of Schwartz's but Snowdon deli is comparable. The meat was moist & the bread held through. It's also a very classic spot in Montreal that has been around for ages. I knew I was in the right place when most of the diners were elderly. It says a lot about an establishment.View more
