Snowden Deli is probably the last authentic deli left in Montreal.
Form old timers to newbies , this is a must visit in montreal for smoke meat sandwich, Or pick ups from their deli counter: amazing white fish salad?, Chopped liver, & a variety of other deli classics. Expect long lines on weekends for breakfast.View more

The smoked meat sandwich was absolutely delicious. I know most everyone thinks of Schwartz's but Snowdon deli is comparable. The meat was moist & the bread held through. It's also a very classic spot in Montreal that has been around for ages. I knew I was in the right place when most of the diners were elderly. It says a lot about an establishment.View more

Great place to get smoked meats & fish! The food was all delicious, & the menu was so large - you can easily get just about anything you're craving, & at a range of price points. They do have more expensive plates but those servings are very generous! It's about as classic of a deli as you can get - cozy & unpretentious, very kind servers, cheap coffee, good food.
