This is the best Iranian kebab I've had in Montreal. The food is absolutely delicious, & the staff are incredibly friendly & welcoming. The whole experience was wonderful. I highly recommend this place if you want to try authentic Iranian food.

Small restaurant, reserve in advance even for small groups. The food was delicious, very flavorful & fresh. The staff, although seems understaffed in a Friday evening, was very cordial, friendly & welcoming. I would highly recommend it.
If you have ever tried Persian restaurants & had Persian kebabs, I strongly recommend you to try Shali Restaurant.
Besides the high quality dishes, the portions are enormous & delicious. Also I can say that the prices are very reasonable.
& finally, the personnel are so nice & always welcome you with a beautiful smile.
We visited Shali for a birthday dinner based on recommendation by a work colleague. We booked table about a week ahead & they accommodated our group of 10 people with no issues on the Friday night of event. It was quite busy so I do recommend rsvp for weekend evenings. Prices are definitely not the cheapest, however the freshness & rich taste of every item on the plate did not make me regret my decision! Worth every dollar! Furthermore, the byob option kinda balance out the cost for the meal. Though they seemed short staffed for the service side, I really found it reasonable considering we were a larger table. I definitely recommend this restaurant specially for the die hard carnivores that appreciate the charcoal flavor infusion to their meat!
I just finished eating here & was very impressed with the quality of the food! Fair prices for the incredible portions, good modern music, & the staff was quick & friendly. What more can you ask for when wanting authentic Persian food! 110% recommend.
Get the dessert & tea! Really helped closed to experience.

Great little persian restaurant. They serve all authentic food. Their rice is always perfectly fluffy & their meat is cooked to perfection. I recommend it to anyone looking for authentic food in a cozy setting.
The kebab was tasty & juicy. I just wish the chicken kebab had been saffron-flavored, but overall the quality of the kebabs was good, & I would recommend this restaurant
I had a great experience at Shali Restaurant. The koobideh kebab was extremely delicious & the food quality was very high. The atmosphere was warm, friendly, & very welcoming. The prices were excellent considering the generous portion sizes. I would definitely recommend this place 🥰

L'ambiance était chaleureuse, conviviale & très accueillante. Les prix sont excellents par rapport aux portions généreuses. Je recommande vivement ce restaurant 🍚
Unfortunately this Persian restaurant didn't live up to expectations. The service was borderline rude with waitresses in what looked to be bothered. Tahdig was soggy, soup was cheap lentil. The meat was very nice but as whole a poor experience. Do not recommend.

It was our first time there, & everything was excellent. The staff were very polite, friendly, & well-dressed. It was a cozy place for families, & they offered a variety of dishes, including Persian kebabs. Most of us ordered koobideh kebab, which was very soft & delicious. One of us ordered soltani kebab, & it was also incredibly tender. All the food was very tasty, but I didn't like the rice, & the tahdig (crispy rice) had become soft.
The waiter made an interesting suggestion: instead of a full portion of rice, she offered to serve half rice & half salad, which was a good idea. The soup was also very tasty. The prices were average - neither expensive nor cheap. There were enough parking spaces available. The restroom was clean. The dining area was also clean, the tables were tidy, & everything was neatly set.
I recommend that the restaurant owner provide napkins on the tables to make the setting a bit more elegant, & consider changing the rice. I strongly recommend visiting this place.
