If temporarily closed might mean they are on holiday? Many dishes overlap & seem very similar to each other. Service is ok. They are slow to bring things you may ask for that were forgotten on the table like enough glasses, refill water, napkins, or cutlery. I'm ok with persian cuisine - it's never a must that i need to go to regularly. I'll take italian, greek, cantonese, thai, or other mediterrenean first.
We were visiting Montreal from USA last week & wanted to try authentic Persian food. I ordered the Soltani, & it was absolutely delicious! the Barg was so tender ! which I love it a lot The owner/manager was incredibly friendly, welcoming, & patiently answered all of my questions about the food.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Persian food & excellent customer service. I will definitely return the next time I visit Montreal!
If you have ever tried Persian restaurants & had Persian kebabs, I strongly recommend you to try Shali Restaurant.
Besides the high quality dishes, the portions are enormous & delicious. Also I can say that the prices are very reasonable.
& finally, the personnel are so nice & always welcome you with a beautiful smile.
Definitely a hidden gem & my favorite Persian restaurant in the West Island.
The meats/chicken platter is incredible. So juicy & flavourful. Hands down the best kobideh I've had! The eggplant-based entrées are also delicious. I really recommend trying.
Also love that they have fesenjoon on the menu. Delicious Persian comfort dish & tastes like you're eating at someone's home.
The safran ice cream was also good!
Wow! Everything was delicious. High-quality food, excellent service, & a very friendly staff who never forget to smile.
This was my second visit with my family & friends, & everything was perfect. We ordered Zereshk Polo ba Morgh, Koobideh, & Joojeh, & they were all excellent.
During my first visit, I personally didn't like the rice, but this time it was great. That tells me the manager actually pays attention to customer reviews & works to improve the food, which I really appreciate.
If you're looking for one of the best Persian restaurants in Montreal, I highly recommend giving this place a try.
Congratulations to the manager & the entire team. Keep up the great work! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great Persian food with plenty of flavor! We ordered their signature koobideh, & it was incredibly flavorful & juicy. Friendly service & a great overall experience. Highly recommend!
Wonderful place to try authentic Persian food.
This was our first time & everything was amazing
We ordered one dinner meal (rice with Zereshk chicken - a tomato based chicken stew) one kids meal (koobideh), one side of meat (koobideh torsh) & a side of olives.
We started off with a lentil soup with pita bread.
For our dinners, we had an order of a chicken stew, & two orders of the grilled koobideh meat. The side of olives were a great compliment to the meats.
Though the place was busy on a Friday night, the food came out pretty faster after we ordered it (10mins)- fast service for freshly made food.
The food was very good with generous portions. The koobideh was especially excellent, well-seasoned & cooked perfectly.
Service was also attentive & friendly. Overall, a solid Persian restaurant experience & would recommend.
