First of all- to make a reservation for 8+ people, you cannot do it online, you have to call. I called 13 times during the week, no answer. I had to physically show up at the resto to make the reservation... Apparently, I am not the only person to have complained that the receptionist doesn't answer the phone. & no, I dis not call during busy hours, having worked in the resto business, I know. The ambiance was nice & the food was ok. I feel it's a bit overhyped. We were all (party of 8) kind of like "Ok, good, but not great." The burger looks very ordinary. I took the lobster & shrimp poutine. It was good, but the fries were cold. Nachos were excellent (but $$$ for the size). Calamari were AMAZING! Tartare was good.View more

Nous avions fait une réservation depuis plus de 3 semaines & seulement la veille j'ai su par texto qu'il y a un évènement country... J'aurais voulu le savoir plus tôt, car l'ambiance était bonne mais la musique était beaucoup trop forte !! On devait criée pour pouvoir se parler comme si on était dans le club... & c'était pas le but de notre soirée. Donc, la nourriture était bonne (fish & chip), poutine, hamburger, etc. Les boissons aussi, mais j'aimerais la prochaine fois qu'il baisse le volume & de bcq (quand nous sommes sortis, nos tympans étaient comme sous l'eau...)View more

C'etais ma 2e visite au shaker centropolis & comme l'autee fois , sa été une merveilleuse expérience 🥰 , nous avons opter pour une place sur la terrasse & nous avons eu une excellente soirée en plus accompagnée du chansonnier ! Wow ! C'etais super !! Les serveurs étaient vraiment a l'écoute de nos besoin & même quand on leurs a demandersi le plat de mon amie allais bientot arriver , ils sont venus nous voir 2-3 fois pour savoir si tout etait correct & nous donner un update de l'attente Une vrai belle équipe !! Chapeau ! C'est rare que c'est aussi rapide de se faire servir dans un beau resto avec une belle ambiance !! 🎉View more

Côté travail, c'est stressant même chose pour l'administration & la paie. Ça ne paie pas assez de plus nouvellement employé j'ai su 1 semaine que le resto était vendu ce qui a créer des manques comme les commande Uber veux veux pas je perds du pourboire sur la livraison, il y a moin de livraison à complèter. C'est sur que c'est temporairement mais étant donner la situation du coût de la vie, le fait de ne pas avoir pu travailler les 7 derniers mois je trouve cela stressant. Côté équipe il y a une bonne ambiance mais c'est le stress qui est désaggréable.View more

I talked to the manager/director of Shaker Centropolis today to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else as it could be serious. All he had to say was the second server told him he didn't know & that it was up to my daughter to be more vigilant & she was given a 50$ gift card first her trouble!!! Not what i wanted to hear. I had to insist that he makes sure that all servers need to be aware of the seriousness if allergies & that they should automatically bring the allergen menu before taking an order, as there is no mention of peanuts in the regular menu. The director said they don't do that because they only have 2 allergen menu. Bravo. I asked that potential deadly allergen be written in the regular menu & his answer was it would be impossible to change all the menus in all the Shaker restaurants!! So instead of reassuring me that he is really sorry this happened & that he will make sure to have a serious talk with his servers & let the owners know about what could be done to prevent this happening again, he repeated many times the error was the second server did not know as if that's actually what happened & end if story!! Will be telling many people this to make sure to avoid this restaurant ad they do not have the safety of their clients at heart!" I am completely at a loss for words & disbelief in the manner the manager talked to me with his complete lack of empathy . Whatever happened to the client first! At no time did he express concern to what happened or mention that this situation shouldn't have happened & that he will do everything in his power to make sure this doesn't happen again!!! On the contrary all he said was how the error was that the second server told him he didn't know & that my daughter should've seen the peanuts in the brownie ! She said that she could see walnuts & that the waiter mentioned the peanuts were in the sauce! But whatever happened to owning up in the name of your staff & reassuring the client that this will never happen again!!! I need to hear from someone what will be done about this. DON'T COME HERE IF YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY!! Had an allergic reaction at this restaurant last night, even though waiter was aware of my allergy. When ordering dessert, I went with the "Brownie qui tue", not knowing it could actually KILL ME. There are PEANUTS in the sauce but isn't mentioned in their menu. After one bite, my throat flared up & I had to go to the hospital. When contacting the restaurant manager the next day day, I got BLAMED for not reiterating to the waiter that I had an allergy. He also mentioned that it is visible there are nuts in the brownie once it arrives, hinting I should have known not to eat it (even though the peanuts aren't on the brownie itself, but rather in the sauce). All excuses pointing that I am to blame for their INCOMPETENCE.... I did my part by telling them I had an allergy at the beginning of the service. They did not do their job by ensuring my safety, & failed to own up to their mistakes which is even more disappointing & frustrating ... I was given a 50$ gift card as compensation, as if I'd want to back to a a restaurant that puts my life at risk....
Très mauvaise expérience avec la serveuse au bar. Nous avions commandé 3 shooters qui sont sur votre site pour le prix de 4.99$ chaque. Nous avons reçu la borne de paiement avec un montant à payer de 31$, ce qui ne fait aucun sens. Nous avons donc décidés de ne remettre aucun pourboire sur la borne & de lui remettre un plus petit montant en argent cash qu'un pourcentage de 31$, car en plus d'être un vol d'argent c'est aussi une manière de recevoir plus de tip. Avant qu'on puise lui remettre l'argent cash elle nous dit : « vous allez les attendre longtemps en esti vos shooters. ». Elle sert absolument tous les clients possibles autour de nous clairement afin de nous faire patienter le plus longtemps possible. Elle va même jusqu'à dire à tous les autres barmans de ne pas venir nous voir juste pour qu'on attende plus longtemps. Tout ça parce qu'elle nous fraude avec le montant des shooters pour avoir plus d'argent au final. C'est finalement lorsque ce qui semble être une gérante vienne nous voir qu'on a finalement reçu nos shooters après 20 minutes d'attente. C'est inacceptable comme situation & je ne recommanderais à personne de sortir au shaker au Centropolis. Ce n'est aussi pas la première fois qu'on me charge des prix exorbitants pour des shooters à cet endroit.

via LibroJ'avais demandé une banquette & plusieurs étaient disponibles à notre arrivée. On nous a assigné une place dans le passage (endroit avec beaucoup de circulation). On a pu changer de place, mais sur le bord de la fenêtre où il faisait froid. J'avais réserver il y a près d'un mois alors j'étais déçue. Nous avons eu toutefois un excellent service de notre serveur & avons bien aimé ce que nous avons mangé. Tout était excellent!
