Welcome to Shabu Shabu Kagayaki in the popular Montreal's Chinatown district. Here you will discover a traditional Japanese specialty known has Shabu Shabu The origins of Shabu Shabu cooking date back many years, where families gathered around a large hot pot for their evening meal. Shabu Shabu means splash-splash. The customers receive thin slices of raw meat and vegetables, which they cook quickly in a pot of boiling water. These are dipped in a sesame sauce or ponzu sauce (soy based sauce). After the meal, the remaining broth is used as a soup for noodle or rice. Today, the freshest meat and seafood available, delicious Japanese sauces and a bowl of rice is all that's needed for a classic Shabu Shabu meal and Kagayaki is the place to experience what Shabu Shabu is all about. Along with great food, Kagayaki offers a great friendly atmosphere, traditional decor and great fun whether you are with a group of friends, family or in couple. Absolutely Fantastic!
Top friendly staff helping at all times & keeping a constant eye for the hot pots to be at ideal temperature. Their suggestions & explanations really made the difference. They took time to explain the differences & the ideal cooking time for each ingredient.
The menus for 2+ people are great to try different meats & seafood.
We found the price very reasonable for the quantity, quality & variety that it offers.
The set menu includes a lovely dessert.
Reservation can be recommended.
Most of the food is gluten-free (GF).
We look forward to visiting again when in the city.

Quelle belle découverte! Endroit propre & calme, service très rapide & courtois. La sélection d'items pour la fondue est très varié (plusieurs viandes, nouilles, légumes & rice cake). Les portions sont très généreuses & les prix tout à fait abordables. Très bel endroit pour une date.
