It was ok but on the expensive side. Some of the food was good (mainly the dumplings, the poke bowl & the shrimp tempura), the general tao is very bland; the sauce was sweet but didn't taste like general tao - more like generic Asian sauce for white people & the chicken was clearly frozen nuggets or something - more breading than chicken. The wonton soup had 2 wontons in it, mushrooms & a baby bok choy but tasted overly like chinese five spice or star anise, so if you like the traditional wonton soup from most chinese restaurants you will be sorely disappointed. I ordered shrimp & tofu chow mein & I only got shrimp... & the sauce for it was basically sweet soy & perfumed ginger, & there was a lot of it which made the noodles soggy. I left most of it because it just wasn't great. The chicken bao was pretty bland as well & the chicken itself was mostly batter with hardly any chicken (again, probably frozen), & the bao had a bunch of cilantro in it, hidden under the lettuce. I don't know which bao this was supposed to be (I'm guessing the spicy one), as it also came with avocado & the general tao one did not have either (avocado or cilantro) listed as an ingredient on the menu, it was also missing the cheese. I'm glad it wasn't me eating it but my poor husband had a reaction to the cilantro & had to take an allergy pill when we got home because of it. I guess we found out the hard way that he's also allergic to it like I am (at least it wasn't a life threatening reaction but seriously, that should have been listed on the menu!)
I will say the peanut sauce was also decent (though a bit on the sweeter side). All in all the dumplings & peanuts were good but if I want to spend money like that I'll go for dim sum.
Our server was nice & polite, as was the rest of the staff so no complaints there, but the food wasn't anything to be thrilled about, especially at the cost we paid for it. I'm not a foodie, so maybe that's my problem. I like good food, & I don't mind spending money on good food, but I don't follow these food trends & fusion joints because they can't decide what kind of restaurant they want to be. This place honestly just feels like a bunch of white people trying & failing to make Asian food, & I say Asian because there was no direction it in. Could've been Thai, or Japanese, or Chinese, but the only thing it really was, is confused fusion that just tastes overly salty & overly sweet.
Excellent service mais les pâtes du Pad thaï beaucoup trop cuites. J'ai changé pour un général Tao qui était bon mais très sucré. Beau resto, excellent service mais pas de la haute gastronomie.
Belle découverte! On a pris une assiette à 2 (menu B) & les quantités sont probablement bonnes pour 3 personnes tellement qu'il en avait! On a choisi la soupe thai coco - plus thai que coco mais quand même délicieuse. Beau petit restaurant raffiné & bien stylé. On a particulièrement aimé le général tao & le pad thai - un peu moins le boeuf. La préparation du riz est tout simplement parfait. Rendu au dessert, nous avons chacun eu un choix de crème glacé: le meilleur est à la mangue. La serveuse était passionnée & a rendu la soirée mémorable. MERCI!
Restau très agréable où nous aimons aller pour l'athmosphère & le service. La sauté teryaki m'a très déçu. Très bon goût mais je changerais le poulet en lanière du sauté (aussi la quantité quitte à monter le prix.). On dirait des lanières à sandwich achetées au costco & non du poulet typique de restaus thai. Tres bonne soupe & wong tong aux arachides.
The restaurant is very nicely decorated, but the tables are so close together, you can very clearly hear the'neighbours'' conversation & it's quite awkward squeezing past the people at the table next to you to get in & out of your seat. The waiter was very kind & polite. However, I was majorly disappointed with the food (which took quite a while to arrive). I had been there once before & had the general tao which was quite good. This time, I decided to try something new. I ordered the beef pad sew. The noodles were severely undercooked, hard, & chewy & the overall dish was extremely salty. Had I not been so hungry, I would've left it after my first bite. I was still left hungry at the end. There were hardly any noodles; the portion felt tiny. Considering the price too, I was very dissatisfied, unfortunately. My friend ordered the beef pad thai, which she said was also extremely salty & she couldn't finish it.

The service was horrible!! We waited 10 minutes to get a glass of water another 10 before they took our orders maybe more! Then the food came before we even got our drinks!!! They brought me wonton soup instead of peanut butter wontons(big difference), I already ordered a coconut thai soup why would I order 2 soups! Then when I actually got my drink it wasn't even what I ordered, i orders a sesame sangria & they brought me a bloody Cesar!!!!not the same at all! They didn't do anything to compensate for all the mistakes! I use to go before,they had an amazing manager! & sadly they let her go! Not the same!
Went on a Friday night around 8pm. The place is on the smaller side & we had No reservation but we managed to get a table for 2 right away anyways. Ambience & decor is very nice. Hostess & server were both very kind & professional. Took awhile for our food to come out-the server was working both sides so maybe they were short staffed but there were several people on the floor.
The food was not great. No depth to flavours & was Mediocre at best.
The calamari-crispy but doused in the sauce.
Tasting platter- tempura covered in the same sauce as the calamari, wontons & papaya salad nothing special. Imperial rolls were good.
Dumpling tasting platter: couldn't differentiate the different types. They all tasted the same & again no exceptional flavours.
Soups: we had the TomYum- low spice level & overtaken with lemongrass. Same with the Thai coco. Hardly any coconut milk. Heavy lemongrass flavour.
Husband ordered a cocktail (Negroni yuzu sour) which was ok.
Overall the experience was disappointing & we would not return. I recognize everyone has different tastes but this really missed the mark. I don't even think it was an'off-night' except for the fact service was a little slow. The execution & flavour development of dishes needs improvement. I'll also note the server gave us some coupons for our next visit which was appreciated but won't be used.
This was by far one of the best Asian Resto we have ever been too. Everything was absolutely delicious! We had the edemame, won ton & Tom yum soups, General Tao chicken, Curry Beef & the shrimp pad Thai ! Thank you for an amazing experience cheers to the staff who were awesome ! 10/10
C'est la 2e fois que nous y allons. Honnêtement nous avons eu du très bon service mais la bouffe n'est vraiment pas bonne. La soupe goutais rien, le Teriyaki beaucoup trop sucré, & le pad thai trop cuit.
Je ne le conseil a personne. Beaucoup trop chère pour la qualité de repas que nous avons reçu.

Perfect place for a date night! 🥰 Sesame is a great spot for good Asian food & drinks 👌🏽 We had shrimp chips, Thai sweet chilli chicken, dumplings, chowmein, & the spicy chicken Bao. I do think that the chicken Bao could have been a bit more spicy & seasoned (but I guess that's just my Indian palate talking 😂). Do try their Sesame Bomb drink if you like fruity drinks with a kick 😉 (some might need a few extra!)
I loved their service - our server was so warm & friendly. The ambience is calm & cozy, bathrooms all clean as well 😃 They even gave us a 10% off coupon for our next visit ☺?
Overall, this was our first time & we were really happy. We wish them the best! 💖
The food was not good, it was not authentic asian cuisine. The dumplings were frozen, the general tao was basically a chicken nugget covered in sauce, the thai beef curry tasted like It was made from beef bouillon & water, my soup my cold. over all not good food, not worth the price
Calamari was good but the sauces are put on top so you can't choose the one you want. Classic General Tao crispy & just the right heat. Good Pad Thai too. Service was a bit slow, only 1 server per section who also has to make drinks. Nice decor but music was a bit loud.

Everything is great BUT the food is the white American version of Asian cuisine, & i say Asian because they have Chinese Japanese Thai Korean & Indian food on the menu. The dumplings were VERY small & dry & not worth the price, the salmon tartare was ok but there was pickles in it with no sesame oil or soy sauce. The karaage came with a "fancy" coleslaw. & we had to ask for chopsticks because there was none on the table. The ambiance is great, everything is clean & the staff is nice but I'm never going back.
Cuisine asiatique ordinaire, pad thai n'a rien avoir avec un vrai pad thai, trop de sauce, les nouilles doivent être plus large & meilleur qualité, manque de citronnelle, échalotes, coriandre & d'arachide, certains pad thai en Thaïlande on même des noix de cajou. Boeuf tereaki manque de saveur. Bref très ordinaire & dispendieux. Service ordinaire! Belle endroit par contre. Pas certain d'y retourner car il y beaucoup d'options de rechange & surtout moin che
We went to Sesame as a group of 4, 2 couples. We took the tasting menu for 4 (D). Some miscommunication seemed to have occurred & it took 20min to be acknowledged by a waiter after being seated. The food experience was overall very good, although there were no pork dumplings or tasting dumpling menu available that evening. The main dishes were very good, we had the pad Thai, the beef & coconut shrimp. The general tao was a bit too sweet to our liking & a bit too breaded. The black sesame ice cream was a hit. I would come back although I feel the value for price is pushing the pricey end of the spectrum.
It was my first time tonight for date night at this awesome new resto in my area. I cannot say enough good things about this place! Atmosphere & vibe are fantastic! Laura was our waitress & she was very attentive for every part of our meal. Our entrée was a nice portion of edamame seasoned to perfection. After this the peanut butter dumplings were absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of sauce! Our main meal consisted of menu B for 2 which included: red curry beef,shrimp pad thai,general tao chicken,rice,papaya salad & tom yum soup. dessert was a mango sorbet with a big pot of tea(of your choice). Jessica the manager was super friendly as always...will definitely be going back as often as possible! Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.
Bonjour je suis venu souper à votre restaurant hier soir. Super déco, super ambiance! Nous étions un groupe de 4 personnes qui aime la gastronomie & avons un fort penchant pour la cuisine asiatique. Nous avons bien compris que c'est un resto asiatique fusion. On apprécie aussi ce genre de cuisine, nous avons partager le poulet karagee, les dumpling dégustation, edadamne & chacun une petite souper pour l'entrée. Oui nous somme
De bon mangeur! Ensuite pour le repas principal deux personnes on pris le pad sew au boeuf, un pad Thai & un buns au canard avec les frite. En dessert la crème glacée sesame.
J'aimerais vous faire ma critique sans les projecteurs de Google review. Les soupes en entrée était correct, très salée, bien garnie, mais sans plus aucune émotion suite à l'avoir essayée. La tum yum était très salée elle perdait son essentiel & la coconut on aurais dit la tum yum avec du lait de coco, elle manquait d'épaisseur un peut. Ensuite les dumpling, ouin j'avoue que c'était unanime personne ne les as particulièrement aimée. Ceux au Costco congeler sont meilleure & c'est malheureux à dire, la sauce en accompagnement était bonne. Le poulet karagee avec la salade de papaye on la partager à 4 en entrée, avez vous déjà été en mangée? Je vous conseille d'allez en essayer dans un resto à ramen sa vas vous donner une meilleure idée du poulet karagee comment l'apprêtée & le look qu'il devrais avoir, des haut de cuise son souvent utilisée pour ce style de repas, je voyais le côté karagee un peut, mais t'en qu'à le cuisiner pourquoi pas y allez jusqu'au bout & c'est tellement bon! Votre sauce Mayo était bien bonne & la salade de papaye j'aimais bien l'idée des filament. J'avoue que j'imaginais un peut plus de couleur à cette salade, mais c‘étais bien quand même, je la présenterais un peut comme une salade de chou version papaye bref c'est un détails. Ensuite les edadamne c'est la première fois que j'avais l'option de mette de la lime déçu & ce fut un coup de coeur! Belle idée cetais très bon!
En continuant pour le repas principal.... Mon amie & moi on c'etais dis il faut juste que le pad sew sois meilleure qu'au thaï expresse car c'est le minimum... première bouchée la viande est très bonne c'est super on la pris au boeuf... ensuite on mange & on mange ouins... ordinaire les nouille ne sont pas super large & elle me font penser au paquet de nouille kim phat que a chaque fois je me dit je ne dois plus acheter celle si. Tout les autre ingrédients était très bien, mais je repenserais aussi la sauce un peut, plus savoureuse plus rechercher, mais surtout les nouilles plus larges changerais beaucoup. On crois que le pad sew du thaï express est meilleure rapport qualité prix malheureusement. En continuant une autre personne a pris le pad Thai il était bien je crois que les gens vont venir vouloir en manger de nouveau! Mon ami a pris le buns au canard à l'orange, ouin c'etais très ordinaire avec les frite ouff, je crois que faut décidée si vous voulez vraiment en offrir c'est spécial comme repas, les gens peut être impressionner, l'idée est très bonne mais sa pourrais être vraiment meilleure, goûter les plats & faites allez votre imagination pour les amener à un niveau supérieure! Les buns pourrais être plus fluffy aussi, mettre un peut plus de temps à la qualité du contenue aiderais grandement. Mon coup de coeur le dessert la crème glacée sesame! & mon drink limonade rose était excellent!!
Sur un autre ordre d'idée, je crois qu'aussi repenser à votre façons de marketer votre resto pourrais être intéressant, nous avions l'impression qu'on allais allez dans un resto style satay brothers avec de la bouffe à partager ou nourriture de 5 a 7, mais il avait pas beaucoup de bière ( commentaire des hommes à la table ) sur le menu, la bouffe était décevant en terme de partager. Qui dit asiatique dit plat à partager!
J'ai décidée de vous écrire ce long message car un restaurant c'est beaucoup d'effort & je crois que si les gens comme moi prend le temps de vous écrire c'est qu'il on envie que votre restaurant fonctionne & j'aimerais pouvoir dire wow cetais bon enfin un resto asiatique dans le coins car on en a pas beaucoup! & j'aimerais pouvoir dire à tout le monde allez y c'est super au Sesame!! Je sais que mon message peut semblez lourd, mais sachez que l'ambiance & le service reçu 10/10.
