We stumbled upon this gem of a restaurant. Went on a Saturday around 18:00 & they graciously accommodated us without a reservation. The restaurant is clean & seats about 20 plus the terrasse. Our group consisted of 3 meat eaters & 1 Vegan & the choices were plentiful. The dumplings were just right & the peanut sauce was on point. The salmon tartare was fantastic! The general Tao (Chicken traditional & Tofu Gochugang) were fresh & VERY tasty. We will definitely be going back. I'm going to assume that parking'may' be an issue during the summer but I think you can park in the front of Super C.View more

View more

A very nice, cute restaurant right next to Atwater market 😎 We loved the decor inside the restaurant ❤️ We started with wontons in peanut sauce followed by sesame salad & Beef Teriyaki 😊 The food was super delicious ❤️ For dessert, we had the Molten chocolate cake & it was also very good ! Can't wait to go back & try other things on the menu 😊View more

Overpriced mediocre asian fusion food. The general tao poutine was drenched in an overly sweet & sour sauce that tasted industrial. The chicken was dry & flavorless inside. The fries lacked salt. The karaage was 3 big pieces of chicken tenders. Nothing even remotely close to a karaage. They charge 23$ for something you can get at costco for much cheaper. The only extra star given is for the nice waitress & for the atmosphere of the restaurant. Would definitely not go back considering all the better asian food you can get elsewhere for cheaper.View more

Ordered as a birthday dinner, turned out to be disappointing. I'm sorry, but I really did try. Despite reading other's bad reviews, I still took a chance to support local. I love pad thai so decided to try a new place to add to my list. Sesame won't be on that list tho. I paid for extra panko tofu, got none. Asked for extra spicy, got none, had to add my own, even though the description mentions''slightly spicy'', really, where? Peanuts? Don't even dream about it. Topped with one tiny lime, barely squeezable. Oh, & the chicken, can you make it look more cooked, for others please, it almost looked microwaved. I'm not even mad, I was really hungry & the food weighing 787 g was appropriate, I'm rather quite disappointed that I had to pay 30$ for this lack of ingredients, extras & refinement. I've already cooked a few pad thai from scratch, & I start to wonder if you use fresh ingredients or a premade sauce from bottle... Anyway, I hope you guys improve, I wish you perseverance & success in your endeavors, peace.View more

When I first visited Sesame on St. Jacques I was happily surprised; the food was fresh, spicy & innovative. When they opened the Atwater branch we went there & found it to be ok, although a few notches down from our initial experience. I went the other day again & boy was the experience bad. Service continues to be good & efficient. But the food was terrible. I ordered chicken with peanut sauce on rice & both the chicken & rice were badly cooked. The chicken was completely tasteless, product of what happens when you don't seat protein properly. All it's juices were long gone so for flavour you only relied on the super sweet peanut sauce. Very disappointed. The resto of my family's food was also quite bad. & to top it, quite pricey. Will not got there again. It's sad to see a good idea get lost by greed...View more

Beautiful restaurant with a nice terrace. We chose to dine on 4 appetizers which was plenty between the two of us. The calamari plate was very good with the organic salad but it would be a good thing to put all the sauces "on the side" & not on the calamari. The steamed veggie dumplings were also great, nicely served, with a simple soy sauce for dipping. The spring rolls were crunchy & fresh. But the salmon tartare with salad & fries was absolutely sublime! Service was a bit disorganized (servers were really overwhelmed so it is understandable) but extremely polite & really helpful. Presentation of each plate was worthy of being photographed. Prices a bit steep but the quality was superb! We will definitely return.
