Sabaidee! Welcome to Sep Lai! We serve traditional Laotian food using many local ingredients to create unique and authentic dishes. As is the norm in Laos, all our dishes are made to be shared! Although you may find similarities with other Southeast Asian dishes such as Thai or Vietnamese dishes, Lao cuisine is a distinct cuisine with its own complex and exciting flavors. Full of fresh herbs, raw vegetables, flavorful meats and always accompanied by a basket of sticky rice, we are proud to share this cuisine with everyone, including vegans, vegetarians and those sensitive to gluten! We hope that the dishes of our parents and grandparents will inspire you with the same comfort and joy as they do us, and that you will exclaim: "Sep lai! It was delicious!"

Sep Lai is a charming Laotian spot where sharing plates and aromatic notes of citronella, coriander and ginger set a travel inspired mood, especially on the cozy back terrace. Dishes like khao poon, nem khao, laap and a fragrant coconut curry showcase fresh ingredients, generous portions and good value, with many noting the option to bring your own wine adds to the relaxed vibe. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious, with friendly service that suits dinners, dates and groups alike, and the terrace is a favourite in nicer weather. Occasional comments mention saltier preparations or slower service when busy, but the overall experience is consistently praised for tasty, well balanced flavors and a welcoming neighbourhood feel that invites return.
I came with a group so we decided to order many dishes to share among us. The Laap is a fresh herb salad. The French shallots are so pungent, they overpower the taste of the herbs. So I preferred the papaya salad which was sweeter. The vegan meatballs taste & feel like real meat! They bring you a container of crushed peanuts to add on your dishes if you need. My mistake is I didn't asked if the Pina colada was vegan. It came with whipped cream on top. During summer, dining at the terrasse is a must! However, it was a bit incommodating when somebody smoking was passing by, since the terrace is in the backyard of the restaurant.
Que de dépaysement dans cette coquette cours au décor magnifique. Plats savoureux, bien présentés & le menu bien expliqué. Un endroit qui porte à y retourner encore & encore... Avec notre vin.
Excellent restaurant! La terrasse est magnifique, les plats sont savoureux & cuisinés avec soin. Très bon prix pour tout ce que nous avons dégusté! La crème brûlée est divine.
Atendimento muito bom, ambiente super aconchegante e comida muito saborosa. fois a primeira vez que comi uma comida laosiana, entao nao sei dizer se eles seguem fielmente, porém a comida é muito bem feita e saborosa, e há opções vegetarianas e sem glúten. Me chamou à atençao o fato de eles colocarem no cardápio as recomendações da chef e também informações sobre restrições alimentares de uma maneira diferenciada.
Excellent resto laotien. Portions généreuses. Prix corrects. Service excellent & belle ambiance sur la terrasse cachée derrière. Plusieurs options vege & véganes.
Delicious fresh food, beautiful peaceful back patio. I found service to be a bit lacking in terms of warmth & attention but overall our experience was wonderful.
Amazing find! Cozy & lovely place popular amongst locals, for gathering & chill & enjoy special Laotian cuisine that's very well done & seasoned!! Perfect place & great staff! The meatballs are impressive, jerk & rolls too!!

I really wish I could give a good comment because I've been to this location when it was another restaurant & it was lovely. Sadly, we've never had such a bad service. To begin, I think I stand at the entrance for at least 7 minutes before the girl at the reception acknowledged me. She was on the phone & never even looked at me even if I was standing right in front of her. We reserved a table at the terrace but we got a table inside the back of the restaurant. Our waitress was not very helpful at explaining & recommending the menu. We got kicked out of the restaurant at 10:20 in a very unfriendly manner. Food was just ok, too salty for nothing. On a good note our bill was not expensive... I guess this is what you get when you don't spend a lot at a restaurant!
Très jolie terrasse arrière, belle ambiance avec un apportez votre vin. Le tofu frit, l'assiette de légumes & le Nem Khao étaient supers ! La salade de papaye avait un goût assez fort de poisson & de sel, notre palais d'occidental n'y est pas très habitué. Excellent rapport qualité prix
Please stop telling people how great this restaurant is - we won't be able to get a last minute reservation in the charming garden for some of the best food I've eaten in months!
Très agréablement surprise ! Ça faisait longtemps que je n'ai pas découvert un restaurant aussi bien. Le service est très agréable & chaleureux à la hauteur de la magnifique petite terrasse. On a pu prendre le Menu dégustation & goûter plusieurs plats à la carte, un délice ! Tout est excellent !! & vous pouvez apportez votre vin
